If you are wanting to start your DMP in April - then Just delay sending the paperwork to CCCS until first week in March that way you will have missed the deadline of 1st of the month for the march payment

Thanks for the kind words Massivedebts I am so pleased that I have been able to help DLB's positiveness rubbed off onto me and its a good feeling knowing that I have in turn helped someone else. It is really great to see you posting advice on here yourself too as I feel us newbies even though we are just starting out can give support to each other. Everyones support on this thread and in particular DLB's advice and support which has been given to me since first joining this site for advice on my debts has been whats got me to this point I now feel much more in charge of my life and am so pleased that I am finally doing something to get myself out of my debt situation even if it will take me a while.

I am looking forward to the future now and its nice to still have cash in the bank or my pocket at the end of the week rather than having to juggle to pay debts.

Good luck everyone old dmp's and new ones. Enjoy your weekend and be proud of what you are doing or have done.

Oh sorry !!!! - what I would do if I was you is phone CCCS on monday tell them that there is no way you can start the DMP in March as you have just received your electric and gas bill for the winter and its astronomical and you need to pay priority debts first and please would it be ok to start April - I am sure that they will be ok with it.

I am sure it will too MD - we can share our ups and downs and be there for each other through the forth coming months. I had loads of questions when I first started out and appreciate the worries that newbies have, if we all stick together we can get each other through the bad and the good times:T

I used the priority debts explanation and it worked for me - so worth a try

I am sure they will agree to it so dont worry.
