Plus I have an account like that with the coop i.e. not a basic one and it's never been a problem for me I just never use the overdraft
Or just ask them to remove the overdraft facility, maybe they'll do that without you needing to redo the forms etc. I think it's the availability of credit, overdraft, thats the problem rather than the debit card or cheque book.
In a way you're right there is more to life than debt but sometimes it's SO hard to remember that :eek:DMP Support Thread Member 238DMP started October 20080 -
Me Again - Massivedebts if the letter you are after is just a standard one to enclose a token payment you could use this
Reference :- {insert CC or loan agreement number here}
Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing to inform you that I am seeking advice and assistance regarding my current financial difficulties.
I have sought the advice of “CCCS” and I am in the process of working out a Debt Management Plan with them. My CCS DMP Case Reference is XXXXXX.
All future payments to yourselves will be administered and managed on my behalf through CCCS. In view of my circumstances, please accept the enclosed payment of £XX in lieu of this month’s payment to yourself. To this end, I would appreciate if you would freeze all interest and other charges on the above account so my debt does not increase. Should my circumstances improve; additional payments will be made through CCCS.
Thank you for you assistance and understanding in this matter. I would appreciate it in future if all correspondence be made in writing to me.
I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
Yours Faithfully

HI
Just the one to enclose with the token payments. I have the Notification of DMP which I have completed, but I was under the impression that when I send the notification in, that I should include a letter with a token payment, was just wondering if there was a standard letter.

Hi MD
No you are not a pain at all
Yep I was referring to the CCCS DMP notice letter that was what I sent with my token payments for the 1st month - in my case January and then in February when I receive my monthly statements from my creditors, ie halifax, capital one, littlewoods etc I am going to make the payments at the post office rather than keep paying for postal order and then having to mess about with letters and posting them all out.DMP starting 1/3/09 - thanks to CCCS & MSEI am now proud to be dealing with my debts!Big thanks to everyone on the DMP Mutual Support Threadyour support has inspired me to get this sorted once and for all xx0
