Morning everyone
haha I was just thinking.. I used to dread the post arriving.. (even though no one was after money then) just the amount of statements etc that would land on the mat and how they would remind me of the DEBT I owe, then I would think about it almost all day, and what was I going to do about it??:rolleyes:
Nowadays I am waiting for my 'replies' to my DMP letters.. I am actually starting to look forward to the post each morning.. Good or bad.. Just so I know what my next move with each of them will be. haha... weird isn't it.
I just want to get this sorted.. and be on the right (very lonnnggg) road out of DebtsVille.

Helloooooo
Ohh I am SUCH a dummy..
What does that mean in Eupho Speak? :rotfl:
(I really AM a dummy
I thought I wanted them to default me.. (I don't care about the credit file 'mark'.. it is the least of my worries) I thought the faster they default me the better.. getting interest/charges stopped etc etc?
I wasn't intending on paying the default amount.... have I got that wrong then? .. :undecided
Eupho, a Default notice MUST give 14 days from the day you receive the letter, and the date when they tell you to pay the default amount by (It's unlikely that you will pay the amount, it's the date that matters).
If the dates don't tally then the DN is unenforceable (I think?) and you can use it to your defense, if it ever goes to court.
Maz, please help me here to confirm or correct me!DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

Right.. the letter they sent about 'thankyou for letting us know you are having financial probs' etc.. Was followed another letter (in the same post yesterday morning) .. with a Default notice. Saying that there is now £91 arrears on the account.. and that I have 17days to pay after the date of this notice.
Gaaawwwd.. told you I was a dimwit..:rolleyes:Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09

Yes, I think that's right, though it may make a difference if you record when you actually receive your letter.
Just looking through mine, I have a default dated 2nd Jan 09, asking me to pay the default by 0000 (They've forgotten to input the date). Does that mean they're in the s**t, eejits that they are!DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

ermm.. (sorry haha) .. do you mean the letter they sent me that came at the same time (same post) as the Default Notice..
or another letter coming?
I suppose this is confusing because I got the letter... AND the default notice in the same postal delivery.
(and all this letter schmetter stuff is frying my brain) :rolleyes:Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09
