I was just thinking.. One thing Sas could add on her correspondence if that does come up .. is that she DOES work for HSBC... and the circumstances are different for that debt. That she would risk losing her job etc... and would therefore PROBABLY be unable to pay anyone any money at all. ;)

V Godd idea Eupho - thank you -cccs were c good when i explained who i worked for but i think they thought i might already be in default with the bank - will phone cccs & see what they say.

thanks all for your lovely words & advice - i feel like i have a whole new set of friends.

( Oh & as for HSBC making loads of calls - really doesn't surprise me at all - i work in a admin dept but beleive me - when i've gone over my limit - they are on the phone in a flash - no special treatment if you are staff - but when they returned my direct debit last week (first time ever had a d/d bounce) - didn't bother phoning me at all - even though i had paid in cash on the same day as i do every month!!!)

so i will slate them along with the rest of you......... hahahaha!!:rotfl:

have great bh w/ends all - doing a car boot tomorrow & its our wedding annivesary - my mum & dad are taking us out for a lovely meal tomorrow -cannot wait!!!!

No you are saying it to yourself and everyone else reading, it's reassuring and helps to keep positive, I can honestly say for the first time in a long time I feel I may have a decent future and have something to look forward to and keep imagining the actual day I become debtfree and never will I ever borrow again, never. never, never, EVER. :D:D:D:D
:rotfl::T Me too!.. I will NEVER put myself in this (stupid!) situation again. :wall:

    Lesson learned! haha.

a few creditors have accepted the new payments but one is being painful!

theyve sent five letters in three days all saying different things ...-

they want copy of bank statement - done last week
they want copy payslips-done last week
they want us to set up a standing order-done last week
they want the letter signed-done although wasnt sure he shouldve signed it
and today we had a letter saying they wont accept our letter as the signatures dont match their one on file!!? so they just sent a short letter saying they cant help us as the signatures dont match!

Wow Eupho they're being painful, which creditor is asking for all this? I would'nt send anything else now, it looks like they're trying to fob you off by saying the signatures don't match, hmmmm perhaps you could turn that around on them and state the original one they hold must therefore be fraudulent ha ha :rotfl:

Ohh sorry Leese.. those are not my experiences up there.. It was just one I saw on the 'Ask a counsellor a question' thread.. (just to show that you don't HAVE to send them any of those things that ask for) ..
I just re looked at the post.. and it doesn't say WHO the creditors were.

    Hi all,

I thought I'd share my good news that one of my biggest creditors, Marbles, have agreed to accept my DMP payments for a year and freeze interest :j I plucked up the courage to call them myself and they were ok with everything phew, that's a big weight off my mind as they were charging £150 a month in interest and charges. Now it just seems like Egg are going to be awkward as I've had a letter that the account will be transferred to a DCA so I'm going into unknown territory and I'm dreading the calls

Brilliant news on Marbles.. thats some pressure off :T

I think I read that being passed to a DCA could turn out to be a good thing.. (dont hold me that tho.. haha.. I havent read up on that really yet)

Good news re Marbles, with regards to DCA I could be totally wrong here as you're way ahead of me, but usually they stop the interest etc and tend to be easier to negotiate with re reduced pmts, but please dont hold me to that:D

    Yeah... that ^
