Well, guess my creditors are starting to get their DMP letters as had my first letter back from Barclays just saying they are closing my account and passing it on to their debt recovery department.
Took the plunge and phoned them just to check it was about my current account and they confirmed it was as the letter showing a different amount to what I know was outstanding!!! Alot less I might add, wish the letter was correct but it's definitly not.
The person I phoned couldn't tell me why this figure was on their but confirmed they had received all the DMP details and I would hear from their other department soon.
So, that where I'm at. Halifax also seem to have accepted so just waiting to see if I get anything from Citi cc, Egg cc, Next and Asda cc and the 2x barclayloans now. What joy!
On the money front feeling more positive which it was the same on the home front though. OH gone very quite on me (DMP is in my name only) but has had to happen becuase of a secured loan we took out 2 years ago to clear his debts and then being made redundant. He is now working but in a lower paid job so I'm paying about 70% of all the bill at the minute and it just wasnt working. Wish I had known about DMPs before taking the loan but hindsight is a wonderful thing!!!
Unfortunately, he seems to forget this is what we did and all the problems I am in now are just because of me being extravegant which is not the case becuase I dont drink, smoke go out at the minute.
Have tried to sit down with him but he just wont seem to, oh well got to keep plodding along as determined this will make things better for both of us.
Sorry for my ramblings.

Hi guys hope everyone is well. Gettin frustrated with payplan at the min, not sure what to do. Paid my first payment of £360 on 1st May, showed on on Justabank round the 5th May. All payments sent out then but then i see on Justabank only 198 of my 360 had gone out , so phoned them up and they said it was glitch in their system and that the rest of the money would be goin to creditors also as it was their mistake. Anyway that was on 8th May, its now the 20th and as of yet no creditors have received the rest of the money they were suposed to nor has it showed up on Justabank. Payplan told me several times as i was emailin every day that accounts dept were sorting it straightaway and apologised. Its annoying me tho that i have paid 360 and only 198 has gone out. Not sure what to do0

Morning all,
Hope you're all ok. I'm desperately trying to make the no spend days this month as i've failed the last two! but it's going to come down to the wire!! today should be my 3rd in a row tho so you never know!
smcshame, sorry to hear you're OH is being a bit funny. tbh he's probably feeling a bit guilty that you're sorting it when the original loan was for his debt. and probably like you slightly frustrated that you didn't know about the DMP route before. Hang in there, it will be fine.
Louise, not sure what to suggest really, except to keep on to them. have you actually spoken to them or just emailed? i've found they don't get back to me or take ages to if i email them. i just ring them if i have questions!! hope you get it sorted! keep us posted!DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 261Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)NSD:Nov 12/12:jDec 9/10 Jan 5/10Slowly but surely:coffee:0 -
I have spoken to them on phone couple times and she kept saying it was being sorted that day that accounts are sending money out in next day or so but im being told that since 8th May and there hasnt been anything sent out yet. I understand they are busy and are helping me and i dont like to complain its just that i had expected when i paid in 360 that it would have all went out to my creditors rather than sitting god knows where.0

Hi All,
I am in the early stages of arranging a DMP with CCCS, just waiting for my pack. I have found this thread such a reassurance for me, please could I join in and have a number? My total debt is around £49K and would love some support getting me through the next 5 years. xxxLBM MAY 2009 :T

And you should be able to expect that!! It does sound like something has gone wrong somewhere! Definitely keep on at them! Have they suggested you pay a token payment in the meantime? (not saying you should but just wondered).DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 261Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)NSD:Nov 12/12:jDec 9/10 Jan 5/10Slowly but surely:coffee:0 -
Helloo everyone
I have finally (!!) sent out all 13  of my letters.. sent recorded delivery (poor lady in the post office)
and await the replies.. eeeeek!..
HSBC have been calling me.. but I doubt they would get my letter until maybe today. (because I have now missed a DD)
They have been using two numbers to call me... 10-15 times per day!
I haven't picked up yet.. I want them to at least see my letter and reply... so I know roughly where we go next. I am scared of the HSBC reaction to me doing my own DMP.. especially after I have read about them not being very helpful.. :cool:Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09

Hi Eupho,
I'm with HSBC, so I'll just let you know my experiences so far to reassure you a bit and let you know where to go next...
Pretty much as soon as DD was due and they didn't receive it I was getting up to 15 calls a day for a month (thankfully I'd changed to my mobile no only so I left it on silent and didn't answer the ones I sussed as the Indian call centre) ....within a couple of weeks of receiving my letter they sent me a letter offering me a managed loan but as they're still charging interest on it etc I checked with CCCS and they advised not to accept it as its new credit etc and they're nothing but problems apparently!
Thankfully once they received my first DMP payment they stopped calling, however I've had a couple of missed calls today and having typed them into whocallsme? they've come up as HSBC!!
On a positive note however, I have a CC with them too, and that department has accepted my DMP and have reduced interest to 6% rather than 21.9% for an initial period of 6 months.
So its not all bad, the calls will stop....just stand firm and you'll be fine! x:j Only 5 years until I'm debt free! :j

I've had the HSBC overseas call centre call me 6 times a day for the last few weeks. I did actually answer one of their calls last week. Bless them, I know that English may not be their first language but they said "is Miss [DevonGirl] there", I said "Speaking", they said "No, I want Miss [DevonGirl]", I said "Speaking!" and they hung up as they obviously didn't understand!! :rotfl:LBM - March 2009, DMP Start - April 2009
