    Hi all

Just wanted to say hello & (i think) me & hubby are about to emabark on a dmp - i say think - we 've spoken to cccs & they have recommended either a iva or dmp - & as both me & my hubby work for banks (yes really ) an iva isn't an option.

So from reading & working thru our figures - we will have £700 pm to offer creditors on a £70k debt -- oh god i've typed it & i know how horrendous it is. i think its 'do able' - we will actually have £550 a month to live on - surely 2 people with no kids can do that??!

i'm so glad i've found this forum - i really did think i was alone in this.

Charm1 - feel exactly the same - cannot meet any min payments this month & have to now face up to the situation & deal with it. strangely tho i'm starting to feel posistive/ does that sound weird?

    thanks for reading

    HI saskia
Ianmak is the person who gives out the numbers, if you post on here requesting one he'll sort it when he's doing the next batch.

Hi everyone, new on here but have been reading the posts for the past month and this gave me the courage to post off my DMP documents to CCCS and my creditors yesterday. DMP set to start on 1 June. Can anyone suggest token payment amount for creditors until the DMP is up and running? Finally my creditors include Mint, Halifax, Capital One, Cooperative and Lloyds with total debt of £35k and DMP start of £625. Are any of these likely to kick up a fuss? My DMP is set to run for just over 5 years. MY OH is not aware of my debts (long story, don't ask!!) Are any of these likely to send goons round to my house?

:TEXCITED TO FINALLY BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS!!
Yes, I am dealing with my debts:beer:

Hi, Mint haven't sent any "goons" round to me ;)

I had a loan and a CC with them. They took about 4 months to default me and then stop interest and charges but since the defaults all has been pretty quiet. They did ring at the start to say I'd missed payment but when I spoke to them, they were fine and noted on my records to wait for CCCS.

They are the only creditor i have in common with you.
