    Evening all!

Just one letter today.... M&S have refused my DMP as the payments aren't big enough. Thats both MBNA and M&S now.

I'm on a low start DMP so wondered if anyone else who is also on low start has had any of their creditors accept the low payments?

What a load of rotters they are (obviously that's the clean version of what I'm thinking :rotfl:)

Your not alone, we are also on a Low start DMP and I have had 2 so far reject the £5 offers to them, they require minimum £7.50, but all I can say is they cant have we don't have and they will just have to accept it eventually, at least it is willingness to pay something and if they are taken further, it will only be the same lower payment that they will get at least till we can gain more money to get onto an ordinary DMP.

All of mine were not accept and in fact most of them just ignored the letters and then even when I had received a letter from HSBC saying they didn't accept the lady from HSBC who called me denied that they had sent a letter and called me a liar! Banks are unberlieveable!

  • Morning all

Got everything together now to send off to CCCS, but the only thing I cannot find are the details of an Abbey loan I have. I have got the reference number from my DD, but no address and no address is given on their website either.

Does anybody have an address for an Abbey loan?

    Thanks for any help.

Got a letter from A & L saying they are withdrawing my bank account and stopping all DD's and SO's - good job I set up another account for wages and cancelled and moved all my SO and DD.

It's a weird one though as they say they are charging me £15 admin and fees related fees. The they go on to say complete the bottom of the form with regards to what you can repay?? But I've already told them about the DMP and CCCS have sent everything out to them. The they say they are accepting my payment but will take further action and contact a credit reference agency within 28 days if I don't pay in full.

Any idea's about my next move??

I've not actually had any phone calls yet as all my usual minimum payments went out at the beginning of the month and creditors have received the DMP notification letter before the next payment. However, I don't start the DMP until May so will probably get more calls after payments are missed in April - oh joy!!!

    Hi all,

Went to see mark thomas last night (meant i now won't make my NSD target, oops) and he was very funny. it was only a pretour gig but he did quite a lot about the country's financial state! so i'm booking tickets for the proper tour as I want to see what he's got to say on the matter!!

Anyway, I digress! WoS, no idea about Abbey but is there a number on the site? if so i'd ring them and ask. failing that i'd simply give CCCS the account number and rough balance and they will have the address and get the exact details!

Jon, I'd leave it to CCCS to sort out. Maybe give them a ring to tell them but you shouldn't need to send them anything else yourself!

3rd payplan payment has left my bank today! will see how this month pans out! it's sad but i enjoy watching it all happen!!!

Buffet lunch for me today as we've got a presentation! I'm starving and it will be nice to not have salad for a change!

Oh no I have one with HSBC, not heard anything from them as yet so fingers crossed, but then they have been offered £5 on just £53 overdraft so I should hope they accept that.

    Hiya Cocker,

This wont come under the CCA 1974 if the original amount was over £25k which I would assume it was. They did change the Act in 2006 to cover this so it depends whether its a loan etc & when it was taken out.

This is true if it was all from one single account.

However, they could still be a possible way out even if this was the case. If the account was made up of "multiple agreements". Examples would be if the loan was partly used to pay off an earlier loan with NR or if part of the loan was taken out to cover a ppi policy.

This seems to be a very complex issue and there are lots of if's and buts involved. They discuss this on the Consumer Action Group website and I must admit that the depth of the conversation goes straight over me sometimes!!!

Scary....direct debits are now cancelled. Going to prepare my dmp notification forms and cover letters to go out tomorrow with token payments for April. It's all official now it's really scary!!! I am going to include in my cover letter as much info as poss about the dmp and request that they contact me in writing only or cccs directly. Fingers crossed they actually read this letter!! Am concerned that the cheque will just get ripped off the letter and the letter goes missing so I get bombarded by calls asking why am I only paying £5 this month?!
