Sorry Jolly - haven't had any dealing with those specifically.
Got a puncture in my car last night - so badly that as OH was pumping up the tyre it was deflating and you could hear it hissing!! Went flat again within 5 minutes.
So need need a new tyre, and the others checked (think one is borderline legal so at least 2 tyres )
Don't get paid for another week yet - running on the spare which is actually slightly smaller tyre (not as wide)
It's times like this that I wish I'd been much more strict about my "emergency fund" and "car repairs" funds
You'd have thought I'd have worked out how to budget by nowworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Thanks Nwed - hopefully might get some info on them and with any luck they will stay being nice to me
Sorry to hear about your tyre - it's a mare when something comes up. I am trying my hardest to be so strict and build up those emergency funds etc. It's so hard though some times. I think I have def learnt my lesson with debt and will never ever have credit again!!

Hello,
Hope you don't mind me popping in. I was wondering if you anyone could advise on their dealings with the following:
Blair Oliver Scott - loan and cc have now been passed to these. Lady spoke to was really nice but wanted opions of those that have been there.
the other.....
Hillesden Securities Ltd - hsbc credit card have passed debt to there, again lady very nice but want a true opinion. Just in case.
Also Sainsburys CC (RBS) have now after a year started applying charges and late fee payments, anyone had any experience of this?? They say it's because I can afford the payments - derr - I am not even offering the full payment through my dmp,... weren't having any of it and now the debt is slowly going back up. They haven't responded to my letter re asking to stop etc - help!!!!
Any advice would be gratly received, its the first time debts have been passed to DCA and a little scared by this.
Thanks in advance, xx
One of my Bank of Scotland accounts was passed straight to Blair Oliver & Scott (I don't think it even got defaulted so was a bit quick). They phoned a few times until I had the courage to speak to them and then they asked if I could afford a Full and Final Settlement, which I couldn't. Told them about CCCS and they said they'd make a note, stop the interest and accept the payments. Haven't heard a peep from them since so I have no idea if the interest has stopped or not. The person I spoke to was really nice though and very efficient (I hope).
Took 4 months for 7 of my 8 creditors to stop interest. 1 is still charging interest which is half my payment but they won't stop (Halifax). Everyone else seems to have stopped the interest even if they haven't accepted the DMP.
Had my first review just before Christmas and was able to up my payments slightly. Felt really good. The creditors will be getting their first increased payment (about £4 each) at the end of January so see if that changes anything.August 08 debt £58544.84, Paid £1668, Dec 08 Total £58236.48
DMP with CCCS £417 per month - Starting 01 Sept 08
Increased to £443 per month Jan 09.0 -

Yeah I say that but when this happens, I think if I had a credit card I could just....
Usually only for a moment then I tell myself that's how come I got in such a mess - a credit card for "emergencies" :rolleyes:working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
That's the thing isn't it - we so readily used the cc's for everything and didn't give it a thought, if only we knew then what we do now. Oh well, we live and learn and things can only get better....can't they!?!No spend days for March = 3Money to joint savings 2009 = £100.00Money to personal savings 2009 = £0.000

Just picked up the post and I see Ive had 5 missed "international" calls on the caller display .. but no messages on the answering machine.
It turns out I also Have a letter from AEGIS advising me they are going to contact me for the outstanding arrears.
Some digging on here has revieled they are not very nice people, so Im waiting now for them to attempt to contact me again so we can have a discussion with them as their letter does not have any contact details other than a postal address for MBNA on them. Oh well, time for tea and reduced "end of day" cakes from my local bakers
On a lighter note, sent 4 letters this morning offering FnF payments to 4 of our creditors.
Offered EGG the option of me settling either the credit card or the loan I have with them, or asking if they would accept full payment of one of these products as FnF payment for both. ( £10,000 each )
Offered A & L £1800 in FnF payment for £3000 of overdraft debts
Offered BarclayCard £1700 in FnF payment for £3300 of debts.
If they refuse, then they can all have pro rata payments of aprox £40 -£50 a month for the next 6 years.
and Ill put the money back in my emergency fund & give the Family loan back to my parents
