OK So I asked her if it would be more than one day of presentation (a couple of times, just to check) and she said no just that one day coz the reps come from out of town!
If it ends up being more than that, what can i do, coz that's blatantly not what she said? But at that point when they've got us there will they care?
being stuck there was my main reason for not going for the abroad holiday! i was scared if we refused they wouldn't pay for our fights home or something!! At least with this we'll have our car and can leave whenever we want!!DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 261Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)NSD:Nov 12/12:jDec 9/10 Jan 5/10Slowly but surely:coffee:0 -
Hi Rachaelfleur,
I am new on and have just read your thread. I started my DMP through CAB on the 17th Feb. Lloyds are ignoring the letters, when I rung them they set up a payment plan on one of the debts and then promptly rung me every hour to ask when I was going to make another payment. When I told them my next token payment was due at the end of march, they took the payment out of my bank without authorisation and left me overdrawn!! Apparently, they can do this, they can even extend your overdraft without asking you and continue to take payments out. There should be a law against it, its not as if I am refusing to pay my agreed token payment. Good luck with your DMP and beware of Lloyds.maiseymoo

Debt free date - somewhere in the distant future
Goal - to get on a fixed repayment plan with an end date to aim for - achieved finally after great resistance and huge charges from LLoyds rip offs :T0 -
I've had huge problems with lloyds in the past, the only reason I have an OD with them was because they kept on taking their charges, even if I didn't have the money, hence more charges! So I asked for a temporary OD to cover them, my charges for December and January being £215, but get this they actually assured me that it would never be more than this, thanks! They're a nightmare. I've tried and tried to reason with them and just had enough. Eventually sent off a letter of complaint which has been conveniently ignored. So I'm expecting problems from them, oh the joys!!Do what you want because in the end people will judge you anyway.0

you should have a bank account that isn't with Lloyds. They removed my overdraft making it unplanned. apart from that they are fine to deal with0

Yeah I've applied for a new account with HBOS so hopefully hear about that sonn.Do what you want because in the end people will judge you anyway.0

My main bank account is no longer with Lloyds, I was just waiting for a cheque to clear to my daughters school and then I was closing it. There was a balance of £8 for the cheque, now I am overdrawn and have been told I wont be allowed to close the bank account untill Lloyds say so, because they can continue to take money from me even if it is an overdraft. Nightmare. Feel like running away!! HAH!!maiseymoo

Hi Cocker, I too am waiting for a copy of the CCA for my lloyds loan - sent a second request (recorded delivery) as have still heard nothing - what exactly is a 'SAR' what does it stand for and shoudl i request this instead? Many thanks
Hi Tetley, (Nice name, i've got a crate of them chilling in the fridge, and not the tea type):D
SAR stands for "Subject Access Request" and costs £10. You are entitled to view ALL the information a particular company holds on you under Data Protection Act 1998 rules.
The information they are then required to send to you must include the original credit agreement between you and them. This must be an exact true copy, not like when you request a CCA under sections 77-79 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 where certain things are allowed to be omitted.
They must also provide all statements of all transactions from the account including all ppi payments and late payment/over limit charges. Basically every little peice of info they hold in the records!!!
In relation to your LLoyds loan, I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for your CCA from them. I CCA'd them nearly 6 month ago for a copy of my credit card agreement and they still haven't produced. I am currently going through their complaints proceedure, but i've stopped all payments to them and removed them from my DMP!
I know they dont have the agreement, otherwise they would have sent me it. Not having the agreement at all is much better than receiving one that is unenforceable. I am 90% sure that this debt has gone forever, but have not had it confirmed yet, so not counting my chickens just yet. Not bad considering it was over £6500!!!!!!!
Nice!!!:D

Well its now 18 month into my DMP and each creditor is assessing the situation again. Looks like Tesco and Mint are starting to dig their heels in a bit and ask for more money.
After 18 months of quiet from both, they are starting to make noises! Tesco are asking for a payment of arrears totalling over £1700!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Mint are asking a payment of arrears totalling over £650!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Well they are according to their monthly statements. Both are RBS accounts so this may be just computer gererated foolery, but who knows?
I wouldn't care but i'm about to increase my DMP payment by 25% due to the interest rate decrease on our mortgage!
It made me laugh anyway, but 18 month ago I would have...
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Time for some more CCA requests me thinks!!!!!!
Something along the lines of
"Dear Losers,
Please prove to me in the form of an enforceable CCA that I owe you this money.
Many thanks,
Cocker100"

well as long as you get it in writing ... stick to yoru guns. We had a superb time abet the obvious confrontation. (I dont like confrontations, but when roused you donot want to be around me).
Plane tickets are usually issued (both ways) when you depart, so no need to worry about that. get confirmation the hotel is also paid for. Basically cover all your bases before you go, be sure there is only one presentation. Give the right body language from the start and tell them thankyou but no thankyou and youll be fine. worst case, as you say, get in the car, pay your bar tab and leave.LBM - Oct - 08 DMP Started - Feb -09
