Struth!!! It all kicking off on here tonight!!!:rotfl:

I disappear for a couple of hours and come back and refresh the page and an extra 4 pages of posts appear!!!

Its great to see everyone can still have a laugh, even though we are all up to our eyeballs in debt!!!:D

Anyway, i'm off now to print my own nasty letters to creditors and to chase up some dodgy looking CCA's.

Hi Hope, yes,I did get a cheque book; I applied for the "normal"current a/c,didn't tick overdraft(tempted,as you say old habits die hard!) and also have a Visa DEBIT card! Saw the VISA and nearly went into meltdown until befuddled brain realised wasn't credit.. Any news yet?x

I know I am doing the right thing-have zilch to live on this month and have had to borrow from my parents as was too late to cancel one cc and big loan payment plus MOT today-passed,hurray!-and tax tomorrow..Keep having slight wobbles and hate the feeling as I open the front door and have a quick look at the envelopes on the floor-not got any replies to first token payments and letters yet but have developed a habit of peeping into the envelope without pulling out the letter, so can stuff any "nasties" back in before they bite me and put in my new "debt file"-nuts or what??!!

Hi to All my DFW friends...

    Hi Penny,

Great news I got my "blankety blank" coop cheque book and card...Houston we have lift off!! I also posted my statements, creditor letters and authority to Payplan. :D

Q: Who determines when my plan starts? does Payplan drive the start date....Is it likely to be 1st April or is it 1st May?
I cannot stand the calls so I have switched off my ringer at home (my son was irritated by the phone always going dead) and let my answer machine pick it up (the volume of which is also turned off!).

My mobile is now on silent....as it kicks off from around 8.30am and lasts all day..7 days a week. Numbers identified by https://www.whocallsme.com are 08004220294 (capital one) 08445811014 (Halifax) 08004220295 (capital one) 08081013405 (Ageis on behalf of MBNA for Abbey credit card?) 08081013403 (Ageis). .

I have become a prisoner to my phones..
After my first call with Barclaycard I have decided that it is best that I do not speak to anyone on the phone and continue to send my token payments.
Is there a letter that I can send to all my creditors advising them of my actual Payplan number and PP's contact details should they want to discuss things further with them.

I am finding the whole thing quite stressful and breaking out in eczema.

Still I know it’s only a temporary situation until my DMP kicks in...so I will be ok. I am on my own and it means a lot to have you guys a click away....

Thanks guys for all your support.

HopeTRMD If you answer the phone to explain the situation they will generally put the calls on hold till the plan is up and running (or at least for a few days). I know this won't suit some people, but it's the truth. Just don't give them any money other than the token payments you've made.

I'm not sure what else to suggest other than to keep ignoring the calls. You may also want (if you can) to change or remove your numbers from their records (I did most of this online, but kept a landline on there). They do take note (eventually).

I really must turn in now, X Files the film has finished so I'm off.

    Night all.

Hope,I know how you feel, just keep posting and however bad you feel don't be afraid to say so,we are all here for one another. I unplugged my landline a while ago and now just plug it in when I want to call someone but you know what? I then go into worry mode thinking"oh God,what if I fall down the stairs or something and my little girl can't use the phone to do the 999 thingy we've practised"! Am I completely crazy??! Hate the post too...But had an awful week last week,my mum not well and taking care of my gran as she is very ill too plus whole single parent blah blah etc and it really made me think"blow this!". I refuse to let it get me down, life is so precious-I have a beautiful daughter and great family, sooo much to be thankful for-why should I allow it to make me unhappy? I was also talking to someone at school who has just packed in her job working for a dca-thank God ,she may have had me as a customer,eek!-as she hated it. Made me see that very often the people on the other end of the phone are just trying to earn their crust too.

So I am sending lots of hugs and positive vibes-you will be ok. Sadly, having a child of a certain age I now have"we're all in this together" whizzing round my head-help!HSM overload...!Anyone for the DMP cheerleading squad?!:j

    WOW! How many threads? :rotfl:

Had an interesting call from MBNA had to laugh really. I am in arrears by £77.47 and he said could he have payment of £7.00 so I said no am with Payplan here is the number any further correspondence contact them. He then got all shirty and said look Mrs xxxx I am trying to do you a favour here, pay £7 and I will make sure it isnt showing in arrears anymore. I said to him. Are you a magician? As if my arrears are £77 and you are asking for £7 how is that working? Also I will only be in arrears next month so what is the point?

My god they try dont they? He got so snotty that I just said Good-bye and left it.

Cant wait til this is up and running properly-odd one day up,the next down but I wont let it beat me. Thank god for support like this thread.:j

    Hi all

We made our first payment to CCCS this week and cancelled everything DD wise that needed to be cancelled.

I have however just looked at our credit card and seen that Virgin Wine have taken £20 from it that they shouldn't have. I cancelled this at the beginning of Feb and have an email confirming this. I am fairly sure they will refund the money but how will Halifax CC feel about this? Will they see it as activity on my account?

My hubby is phoning CCCS at lunch time to let them know but I just wondered if anyone had been in a similar position?

    Thanks in advance

OMG! Any doubt about doing this DMP has just been totally wiped out - logged on to my Lloyds account and they've whacked £75 of charges on from last month!!!

Fuming and soooo determined to get this sorted (and get my letter in to reclaim charges :rotfl:)

Hope everyone else is feeling a little calmer than me!
I'm gradually working my way through this thread (on page 46!) so I get to know everyone's situation and hopefully soon I will be less sporadic in my posts.

(Still waiting for new account details - hoping postie will bring them today then Lloyds will see my money disappear!)

    Afternoon everyone

Just spoken to CCCS and they now have everything they need (they were missing sort code and account number details for my personal loan) so they will be sending letters to my creditors today and my welcome pack will follow shortly.....

YAY!!! No phone calls today from Halifax so I'm feeling a little unloved! lol

    Afternoon all!
How are we all doing? From what iv read over past few pages everyone seems to be doing ok. You are all sounding very possitive and upbeat!!

Quick question for anyone with payplan....as you all know iv swapped over to them from the fee paying firm and first payment to payplan left my bank account yesterday...just wondered how long does it take to show up on the justabank site? Still showing no payment and wondered how long a standing order takes to get to their end?
    Thanks Donna
