Thank you again... I can see why I need to sign the Notification of DMP and completely agree... it just seems a little odd not signing the other letter when they could use the signature from the notification if they wanted to be a bit naughty and 'lift' my signature as previously mention on MSE. At least I think thats the reason for not signing letters?
I'll just sign one and not the other....
BTW my long haul is projected as 10 years... HO HUM! My circumstances will be changing in 3 years though so hopefully this will changed to a shorter journey!Light Bulb Moment 4th January 2009 :eek:Started DMP 1st April 2009 :ADMP mutual support thread member: 267 :j0 -

Hi folks,
just to let you know that my DMP starts on the 1st March and I guess i will be around for a fair number of years. I don't tend to post very often but will try and offer help and support where I can. For anyone who is just about to start their DMP journey, I should say that I have already received a lot of support just by reading the posts on this board and certainly do not feel so alone anymore. This is the start of a journey that hopefully will give us a life back, thanks. x :AOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 1145DMP mutual support thread member: 264

Yes, Hi to all new members and those about to start the DMP (We salute you for making the move towards debt freedom).
we signed the letters with an illegible initial not our real signatures ie the ones we would use on a credit agreement, but one that we use when initialising ammendments to cheques etc.that way its easily contested if they use dirty or underhanded tricks. otherwise, we printed our names.
Mint actually refused to accept the DMP notfication as it wasnt signed, but when we sent their authorisation form back initialised in the same way, they didnt complain any more.
Secondly, More debtors have rejected our FnF offers so now we have put the sum of money away into an ISA for 12 months, and will offer them it again next year when the ISA has paid, and the Creditors have been recieving less than minimum payments from us.LBM - Oct - 08 DMP Started - Feb -09

Anyway, srry to have rambled, but I thought I deserved it as I hadn't posted for a couple of days. I just have 1 question to ask (does she ever stop, I hear you all crying!?!;) ), when I spoke to CCCS I was advised to change my home phone number, shall I or shall I just face them all. My biggest fear is if they can't get hold of me at home then they'll start rying at work!
Thanks for reading guys - you are all WONDERFUL:A
MD xx
Hi MD and everyone else that has posted today....welcome to the Newbies.
I posted all our paperwork back to CCCS today (last bank statement confirming OD arrived this morning!), so we're on for an April 1st start too.
In regards to your phone number a month ago when we first contacted CCCs we were all prepared to change ours even down to telling family we'd been getting 'funny phone calls';) ! Anyway i'm probably tempting fate but other than a couple of automated Barclaycard calls, a couple from Capital One where i've said 'sorry i think you have the wrong number' and numerous egg ones which have now stopped after 2 letters, 3 emails and a few quotes of the Office of Fair Trading Guidelines.... so it could have been worse and could well get worse but at the minute they seem to have taken notice of notification letters asking for written contact only. I'm hoping when CCCS make their first contact with my creditors this will help as well.
DLB - good luck with the MOT - i dread mine and i'm sure that because i took mine myself last year (rather than hubby) i got swindled....i wont be doing that again!!

Hi MSC:j
I think I'm gonna brave it and keep the number the same. Like I said I'm sure if my creditors want to get hold of me, then they will regardless of whether I change my number or not! I'm going to post my CCCS paperwork off by end of the week, hopefully, and then send off my notification of DMP letters at begin of March, so fingers crossed CCCS would have notified them before they get my letter!;)Still a little concerned about the 'huge' (well it feels huge) budget that I have been allowed by CCCS, but like he said I can always increase my payments further down the line if I'm managing to stash a fair few quid away each month.:D
Enjoy your week guys.
