  • What was wrong with the dry food I think I missed that bit. Thats good about the storage bin. How would they know you were you ? Also do you think that works the other way around aswell ? I love topshop, topshow is my favourite shop, I would gladly spend lots of free money there... (lets see :P)

I bought 5kg (two months) of dry food which, without the storage bin, I had no way of keeping fresh. I purchased the JWB brand as Noah was already on it, but have now switched him off due to the bin saga. Also to reject the storage bin as not fit for purpose I also need to reject the food it was bundled with. I guess Pet Planet know Fire Fox is me because I told them I was going to post on two busy forums and I copied and pasted the last e-mail in full!

My dad is king of complaints and has taught me how to compose an effective letter: I do also make a point of praising excellent service, and have had the occasional freebie as a result. Telephone calls are not nearly as effective as letters but, if you do call, ALWAYS jot down the name of the person you spoke to - they tend not to like this! ;)

£3 spent on prebiotic cat milk from the Arovit website to use up a £5 voucher, taking the Grocery Challenge to £83/ £100!

Maximuscle order arrived, confusingly including a £5 voucher that expires at the end of the month, when I had expected a £6 credit towards my next order (i.e. any time). As always their customer service is excellent - apparently I can use both vouchers together!! :j

Arovit cat milk and replacement storage tin arrived this morning; the dry food and damaged tin was collected. Have applied for this limited edition freebie:

Also realised that I can use the £5 Hills Science voucher against pouches which are £6.80 for twelve in Pets at Home. My parents fly back in to the country in a couple of weeks, sorely tempted to register my mum as well ... ;)

Today Noah has been introduced to the SlimCat ball which is soooo cute as he shoves with his nose or paw to get the kibble out! And I've had an e-mail confirming that the Turbo Track is in the post. :D Trying to calculate what his 'running costs' are likely to be (food, litter, insurance) and it's not pretty ...

    Hey Fire Fox,

glad to hear you & noah now best friends :) Thanks for that link, my catapuss now member too. Shouldnt think insurance would be too much if he's to be an indoor cat. I went with Argos which was only £6 a month - I recommended it to a friend & she got it for £4 - & the £20 quidco cashback has already been validated :) Pets at home seem to have loads of offers on food, I recently got the Hills science stuff on a bogoff which at £15 a bag is not be sniffed at.

Well done on getting the right result, I also hate shoddy service & attitude.

Te he: somewhere between 8.45am when PP sent another snotty e-mail and 9.45am when PP rang to apologise, my guess is they have seen my post either here or on Purrsinourhearts. The nice lady said she was "disgusted" with her member of staff, readily agreed to take back the dry food AND supply a replacement bin which is more than I initially expected! The power of the people's press ...

Do you think Zavvi would take notice of my soon to be complaint ? I bought a dvd set from them on 8th oct and the status is at "awaiting stock pick", when it was meant to be dispatched 1-3 days after order. Going to visit somebody for their birthday and saying "happy birthday, your present is awaiting stock pick" im sure thatll make me look great :rotfl:

I went with AXA for insurance at £7.50 a month as it's a 'for life' policy - i.e. you can claim £7K each and every year, rather than £7K over the lifetime of the pet. :D The website doesn't ask about indoor/ outdoor so I rang AXA. Noah had a bad reaction to his jabs so can't have any more, but he isn't coming into contact with other cats anyway.

Noah is a bit podgy, so I have been reading up on feline nutrition! At the moment he is eating free samples of dry food, but am working my way up to the high meat/ low grain content products such as Applaws and Orijen. Intending to add in some raw skinless chicken wings which are actually cheaper than most wet foods!
