The worst that could happen is a IPA for 3 years. My DMP would have taken8/9

You will be fine and look forward to hearing how you got on and panicked needlessly on Monday

No, it would be a BRO/BRU for that - where you used credit in the knowledge that you couldn't pay it back. That lasts from 2 - 15 years, hence my concern.
I shouldn't get an IPA as my income is going to drop by so much ..... but you never know!

I expect loads of people do it though - we become conditioned to using the plastic automatically - like I said now it is real cash I am dealing with I hardly spend anything ( I nearly said "spend a penny!":o )

A BRO/BRU is not the end of the world. Not for me anyway. If I get one so be it I am not likely to run for election or run my own company ;). I could live with the consequences of that as long as my everyday life was back on keel and I had peace of mind to do the things with my family that I have missed out on. Time that I cannot get back.

    As Monty Phython Say http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=WlBiLNN1NhQ

That is not to make light of a serious matter by the way just my way of dealing with things.

    Morning all hallo.gif

A few things are progressing at the moment.

Recieved my new Co op card with the surname spelt correctly just waiting for the PIN now.

Cancelled my Breakdown cover as I have just had the renewel and I will look elsewhere ( Via Quidco 01.gif). Only had to pay 10 months on 1 water companys bill so cancelled that and will set up from my Co op account in April.

It is quite handy actually going BR just before the start of the Tax year in some respects.

Have my DS's today so will catch up later

    Morning ym...

I agree, I hope I miss the nil tax code situation - it seems a bit of a faff if you have got up and down income...

    Have a good weekend....

  • Hiya YM, just read through your thread and wanted to say I think you are doing great, not that I am an expert or anything :D I hope that your organisation helps you deal with everything, it seems to be working so far!

Once I have my CCCS appt done on Friday, who knows I could well be joining you going BR at a similar time?? Will follow your thread with interest.

    Have a good weekend

Sunday 11th January 2009...65 days to go

    Hi

Thought I would compile a list to help me with things that need to be done before BR date.

    1...Get fees for BR
2...Change BT DD to Nat West after this months payment
3...Cancel Water S/O when payment comes out this month
4...Change TV License payment to my Nat West
    5...Change Sky to OH account
    6...Change AOL to OH account
7...Change other water to Nat West
8...Finish off Online form's (76% at the moment)

Nice to have a list as it helps me focus on what needs doing. Doesnt look that much actually but a couple of toughies there. 1 and 8 for instance.

Hope you are having a nice weekend. I am at work but not too busy so should be able to keep an eye on Man utd/Chelsea. Come on you reds :T

This was my list from yesterday

    1...Get fees for BR
2...Change BT DD to Nat West after this months payment
3...Cancel Water S/O when payment comes out this month
4...Change TV License payment to my Nat West

    6...Change AOL to OH account
7...Change other water to Nat West
8...Finish off Online form's (76% at the moment)

And I have done nothing to reduce it at all today  . Booked a super soaraway Sun holiday to the New forest in May ( OH paid ) today so got that to look forward to.

I have the time yet to do it all and I think it is sometimes important to take a break once in a while otherwise in can seem a bit overwhelming ( That is my excuse anyway :D )
