Thanks Jellygirl
Yeah it will soon be here and I will fend off the calls when they come. It is only money and they cannot take it from us if we dont have it.
Good luck to you.

Hello ym and jellygirl .....
I know that it is only from December that I have defaulted on my payments but I have not had one call from creditors yet... (touching wood) and only a week to go.
One thing I did do about 3 months ago (for different reasons) is to put a BT call feature on my line that refuses calls from anonymous or withheld numbers. It costs a couple of quid a month but stops so many of the rubbish calls and I suspect some of my creditors now.
Might help .......

I think it comes under a premium call feature - it is at the bottom of the page.. it is really handy if only for a short time while you are fielding off calls...

Hi YM,Now dont tut but I pay monthly for a Golf membership which I have just renewed for 2009 and the first payment came out January. What I was thinking could I change this payment to my Oh's account or will I have to find the payments out of my surplus as I dont think they will allow for Golf membership. Because this payment has been made up front by my company will the OR look at this as a debt or can I carry on paying the monthly fee. This had to be done in October last year and I did not think about BR then. Sorry if that sounds confusing but I know what I mean
I would swap the membership to your OH's account, so long as she's ok paying it. I don't think the OR would consider it a debt, as it's a membership - you haven't paid it all up front on a card or anything have you? The OR wouldn't allow the expense on your SOA, but if your OH's paying I wouldn't think he'd be interested.
Hope the nuisance calls don't get you down! That BT feature sounds very good.0 -
Thanks CB
I belong to a golf Society where I work and it is all done through them and the company. Not paid on any card or anything and pay by S/O every month

In that case I would think if you swap the SO to your OH's account, you wouldn't need to mention it in the BR at all. We swapped a few things of OhDear's to my account, rather than have the OR disallow them. The main thing is whether you are able to afford the membership between you and your OH. There's no point keeping it if it sends you (or her) back into debt. Sorry, that sounds a bit like your mum giving you a lecture - wasn't meant to!:o0

Thanks for the advice - I would do that phone thing - my line rental is paid to Sky so dont know whether I can - I will try to find out though - currently there is no caller display on the phone and could do with getting this changed as well. Good luck over the next week with the final preps:):j Goodbye debt - Hello sanity! :j0
