Delias Key Lime Pie http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/cuisine/european/english/key-lime-pie.html
Never fails me and it also lasts really well in the fridge without the bottom going soggy because of the Grape Nuts in the base. I did a test with it a few weeks back, made it on a Thursday afternoon and ate it Saturday evening and it was still perfect. I wrapped it in foil then with cling film to stop any fridge smells getting in.0 -

I don't do desserts, unless I'm eating out.
How about some yummy fruit, (figs, raspberries, passionfruit, etc) drizzled with honey, and served with some good quality vanilla ice-cream.0 -
I bought a waffle machine recently! It's great because I have the girlies in the kitchen... and we laugh and natter while they cook on the waffle iron... then serve with icecream, nuts, honey, golden syrup, fresh fruits... etc etc! They can choose their toppings and make it themselves!!
So much fun!
Oh... I like to blend frozen fruits through yogurt and freeze for half an hour... then eat with my waffles!!! YUMMY!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
Lemon posset, takes minutes, is delish and can be knocked up a day or so before. Serve with shortbread, either home made or shop bought depending on how you're feeling.:staradmin0

Our family favourite pudding (don't tell my brothers that I have told you... ok?) is super simple and really yummy. The soothing creaminess would be perfect after the chilli.
500ml plain or greek yoghurt
250ml double/ whipping cream
5 crunchie bars
1 flake
honey
Whip the cream and stir in the yoghurt and about 4T of honey.
Chop up the crunchies and stir in
Decorate with the flake
It doesn't store particularly well (as in more than 24 hours) as the crunchies dissolve in the cream, but it only takes a couple of minutes to whip up.Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Well you can't go wrong with chocolate - especially not with a group of girls!
How about this simple hot chocolate sauce for either home made or bought vanilla icecream:
Break or chop up a bar or two of chocolate of your choice, and put it into a bowl. Plain/milk choc works well, as do mars bars and caramel choc. Anything with fillings that will melt is fine, so experiment with your favourites (or the leftover ones at the end of the tin...). Next, add enough cream to almost cover the chocolate (a few little corners sticking out is ok) - double is richest, but single works too. Pop it all in the microwave and nuke it in short bursts (about 30 sec on high or medium high), stirring a lot in between, until the chocolate starts to melt. You don't want to boil the cream, so as soon as it starts to melt, take it out of the microwave and keep stirring it until most of the chocolate is melted into the cream. You can nuke it again if necessary after that, but just don't let it boil!
Serve immediately over ice cream, and enjoy!Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0 -

Sounds scrummy! Could I get away with saying it slightly healthier because of the yogurt I wonder? In hopes we live:rotfl:A smile costs little but creates much0
