Forgive me, people, but I'm going to ask abuse to take a look at a few recent posts to decide which side of the Medical Advice / Advertising line they fall, so if they disappear, that'll be why. It'll have to be more than one post, because there's no point leaving quotes from a post that's gone. If you could just keep moving along, that would be helpful.
Good call Savvy, it was just beginning to feel a little tense round here.
You're welcome. Actually one of the posts I was going to report has gone already, so expect any references to it to follow shortly. A shame when I know people have put a lot of thought into their responses, and worded them very reasonably, BUT that's the way it goes.

Something to smile about: the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures indicated that people are much better at distinguishing cats from dogs than computers are, but computers can learn to distinguish individual penguins fairly easily. :hello: to Tiff.

I am feeling so low tonight.
  • Hi voofin
I've been really down too over the past week or so, so you are not alone.

If you want something to make you feel a bit better, there's an old Carry On film on BBC1 at the moment - not exactly Oscar material, but the corny old jokes are classics.

    Take care of yourself x

Im Sarah and have been suffering with depression since I had my son who is coming up for 7yrs and it was a REALLY bleak time and finally broke down when he was 6months and started medication and have been on them ever since, took a break to have my DD but went start on them soon after.

Ive had councilling and found it usefull but IVE decided to BITE THE BULLET like and try and deal with my OWN problems head on and not be on medication for the rest of my life.

Ive been having good days and bad days but I trying to work out WHY I feel like this and is there anything I can do to change it.

I know there is herbal tablets out there and I may look into them at some point but I really want to beat this nasty thing that has STOLEN the best part of my sons baby days away and I wont get them back.

I want to offer you all my support and love to you all.

Likewise. In fact I've just said on another thread that I dip in and out of this thread, sometimes with months going past in between posts but I still feel welcome when I come back. Actually, if I am posting regularly it usually means that I'm having a bad time, so my absences from the thread should be taken to mean that I'm doing ok.

On that note, thanks to all who've read and responded to my posts over the past week or so; it's been a particularly bad time for me and I don't really have anywhere or anyone else to offload to, and who will be non-judgemental and supportive (apart from the dog!).

Hi, welcome, I'm fairly new here as well and so far have found it a great place to be. It really helps that when you are down you can come here write as much or as little as you want. Plus you know people who are here reading your posts really care and understand as at some stage they also have been there. Welcome again.

Hi everyone, happy new year, well new year it is, 'happy' well we wait and see, but I personally feel positive and hopefully strong enough to fight the crap life throws at us from time to time.

Just got back last night from my home town of London and must say for once I wasn't nervous or anxious. Was a bit worried about how I was going to find the family as most are getting on a bit and having health problems. But apart from mum every1 seemed okay apart from the winter colds etc.

Must say when in town saw more nicer people then complete idiots, I'd forgotten all the characters you see in a big city.

Biggest challenge next week is going to be sorting out a new karate club for my son and also getting the old club to refund (some of you will remember from the old thread how badly the teacher behaved and really set off my depression again)

Had a letter from him just after xmas and the more I read it the more I think the guy has a screw loose and needs to be stopped from teaching small kids.

In part of his letter he said doesn't matter if there is an accident because of the way he handles the kids because we have insurance!
