    Found him!sport-smiley-001.gif
I just wanted to make doubly sure that he'd not forgotten to leave one of my gifts in my stockings.

My pal, Aspidestra, held him at bay while I looked in the sack. Sadly, there really weren't any eligible bachelors in there.cry.gif
So it looks like the search for the next Mr.Tiff, will go on.waiting.gif

Even posting for simple advice on some of these forums is leading to getting abuse thrown at me. I feel really like ending it all at the moment. I don't feel like I can take it anymore.
Abuse is common on forums for several reasons. firstly we are virtual people so even if you think you know someone you probably dont. if someone wants to be nasty there is no real comeback. you cant really get a smack in the mouth from the internet in the same way you can if you stand in front of someone and are rude to them.
i really think most of the upset caused on forums is not intentional but stems from misunderstanding what some one has written. words on convey a tiny part of communication (experts put it at 7%). But words are all you see on a forum and added to the fact that many of us are crap typists punctuation is often wrongly placed or missing. Words alone can have many different meanings. Quick example "I am going to the bank today" Does that implysomething to do with money or i live near a river?
Forums can be useful but dont rely on them and if someone you dont know gives you abuse why should you care they dont mean anything to you.
Who I am is not important. What I do is.

    Lol AB!
I do need a slap indeed. I would do it myself, but I hit hard and I don't wanna knock myself out. XD
I may be tiny, but I have alot of upper body strength XD

I'm feeling better now. I smell nice and generally look okay - albeit tired, but relatively normal.
I'm all packed ready for when I go to Sam's.
I wonder what crisis my friends will find themselves in that they'll feel he need to try and take up all my time again. XD That's what happened when Sam was here. Almost anyway. In the end I turned my phone off. It's on pretty much 24/7 anyway, but sometimes I need some "me" time.

AB, I like your signature. :)
Thank you everyone for your kind words earlier. I need to learn to accept myself and have belief in myself more. I'm working on it.

    xx

well said AB :) couldnt have put it better.I had abuse from a Kylie Minogue official forum years ago, have gone back now and its changed since, they have got mods in place when it wasnt before and thats why I got the abuse,I got calls from people from the forum because they got my phone number off the internet and I didnt give it out to anyone,I never do,I had to change my landline number in the end,It was making me ill and my parents as well,I am not listed in the phone book and I am now safe again and have been for a year or two since I changed the number,I know what you are saying Pinktwirl so I understand what you must have gone through, but as AB has explained its just words on a forum, try and let it go through your head and out the other and dont let it personally effect you,to the people that rang my home from the forum I said dont believe what is said in the forum and please dont bother me again and the person actually said sorry which I was grateful for.

Sadly I lost my eldest (and my first) dog 3 weeks ago. It has been heart breaking and I have been trying to fight off the depression ever since. I feel like I've lost a limb and there is a huge hole in my heart and a huge sense of loss. He was nearly 15 and for the first 7 years it was just him and me. I got him just a couple of months after I was first diagnosed with depression and I can honestly say I wouldn't be here today had it not been for him. I still find it hard to accept he's gone or to admit to how much I miss him and am hurting inside.

Im so sorry to hear about your dog. They are such loving animals and, of course, you are going to be upset and devastated. I couldn't leave the house for 2 days when my last dog died because I was so upset and couldn't stop crying. Its the most awful feeling to lose a dog and people who say its just a dog are completely ignorant. I myself have 7 dogs and am dreading when one of them goes. I love them to bits. They are quite often better companions than people because they love you unconditionally.

Hang in there and try to concentrate on the happy memories spent with him and remember what a good life you gave him. He will have passed on knowing that he was much loved and that is a great gift to give anyone.

    Agree
i think one of the problems is that before you write anything you have to think of it first and sometimes that thought doesnt translate well into the written words on a fiorum. I know I upset CCstar a few weeks ago. it wasnt intentional but when I went back to it, it didnt read the same on here as it did in my head.
there are many occasions also where i have interpretted a statement in one way only to find some others have understood it differently. in sppech words only gain their true meaning when you know the context they are said in. Sometimes on a forum you dont get the true context.

spent most of today in tears, no idea why really, just things getting too much for me, daniel's behaviour is becoming increasingly difficult, and he needs keeping a watchful eye on him all the time,, and that is so draining.
luckily i have an excellant babysitter who is going to watch them both for a few hours so me and ian, can go out for something to eat followed by a movie, really feel like i deserve it.
    hope everyone else is ok

  • Shaz, you may think you're just doing your job, but I think you're a star for coping as well as you do, and you deserve some fun and happiness with Ian.

Shaz, it is so very stressful being at home on your own with kids to look after, even if they're very good. You do a sterling job and deserve a few hours off. I hope you enjoy your evening out!
