If you just want a phone to make the odd call and don't need photo's, video etc this can't be bad for a tenner delivered.

    Hi

    I'm new around here - what's Quidco???
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

    Hi

It's a rebate company like Greasypalm, rpoints, etc.

You register with them (free) then when you buy stuff, you go via the links on their pages, and they will then give you a small percentage of your purchase back (or in some cases, simply a set amount). I think they get commission off the retailer for getting them another customer, and then you get a chunk of it. Different rebate sites will give different incentives for the same shops and also have different rules for getting your money. Greasypalm will give you £2.50 to start you off, but you don't get any of your rebate until you've accrued £25, whereas quidco will not give you anything to start, but generally gives better rebates and will pay you each month whatever you're owed, however, they take a fiver off your first rebate as a "co-operative fee". Not sure if this is a one off, or each year?

I got the phone popped an orange SIM in and it works fine. The paperwork said to call orange to lift the transit lock placed on the phone. But it seems to work. Quidco take 30 days to get the OK from Orange so I'm wodering if I have to register the PAYG SIM that came with the phone to get the £5 via quidco?

Any advice from Quidco user would be helpful, I'm new to Quidco, I've used greasypalm up till now.

Depends when the retailer confirms the deal with Quidco.
If you try the I'm missing a transaction thingy on Quidco select your orange shop transaction it will tell you "You have to wait 30 days before you will see this transaction"

The time depends on the retailer. I did this with OSPS yesterday and Quidco told be there is a 6 day wait on OSPS rebates...

    Hope this helps.

I dropped this amount form £10 to £5 does this matter?

Can I drop it to £1 so that I get paid sooner!

With Greasyplam I have to wait until the balance level is higher. As quidco pay via paypal I assume there costs are lower?

Is there any downside to dropping the threshold on my quidco account to £1 other than lots of little paypal payments hitting my account?

Oh by the way the vibrate function on the A62 only works if the "Silent Alert" option is activated AND the phone is NOT charging! Thought I'd add this for info it is not mensioned in the user guide pamphlet. Also makes my post look a bit less off topic ;)

Also my A62 says Siemens on the outside inside it is made by BenQ it also has a built in speakerphone / handfree mode, also mine came with a handfree kit (the earbud type) in the box!.
