I have now loaded TomTom and bought large 1Gb SD card that allows the wee one to watch movies in the car when I don't use the GPS. And its also a pocket PC so at £130 its great value

Not heard of the make you mention, one store this morning said that they have the Medion MD150 for £129.99 though.

Will keep looking for the Garmin though, thanks for the help!

Go for the Medion 150 IMHO its a lot better value than the Garmin.

It is a mini pc,I can listen to mp3's read ebooks play chess/games/DVD's aswell as SATNAV on it so for extra £30 well worth it
  • Noticed in my local Woolworths today that Garmin i3's are available to order at £169.99.

I am after one of those Garmin i3 sat navs as well in Birmingham, cheapest I could find at the moment is Maplins for £142.

    Staples do them for £119.
  • FYI.. i ended up buyng one from a previous poster on here (search backwards) for £140 inc P&P and he loaded the latest software and the speed cameras, as I git fed up with trying to find a cheaper one.
I'm highly delighted with it having now used it in anger, and very happy with my deal.

Best way to do this is go to Somerfield home page and pop your postcode/town in and that will give you a list of stores. Move the town around to widen area.

The trouble is a lot of staff have never heard of them and you have to be patient with them.

I think you might struggle but they were certainly in Paisley last week. You might have more chance with the Micromaxx PDA there seemed to be more of them around and I think they are a better deal.

It's not £130 when you add another £130 for Tom Tom or is there somewhere cheaper to get it?
  • Hi italiastar, when you say you are selling it, How and Why?
I`m thinking about getting one for my mum.

    Yes, that's obvious.

The point is he's advertising the GPS for sale in his post which is breaking forum rules.
