    Hi there,

I bought the Micromaxx PDA system and installed TomTom 5.210 on it no problems. Works like a charm as have also installed PocketGPS speed camera database with vocal "Gatso, Gatso 40" style warnings so i know what speed i should be doing. Also installed various other POI's like petrol stations etc.

Works very nicely indeed, very chuffed :)

If i manage to track one down then can you help me to do the same ozzy?

Where did you get the info to install the Gatso speed camera database (with ocals) & POIS? I have the same PDA & would like to go this route.

they will be charging for future downloads so get it quick...full instructions included...but the basic is...connect your PDA to computer (activesync) download file on website...unzip to somewhere you can easily find it.....copy OV2 and BMP files from the folder where you downloaded it to the map folder on your memory card in the PDA

    Ive downloaded POI Edit http://www.poiedit.com/

    http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/PocketGPSPOISync.php

You hook up your PDA to your pc choose what POI's you want , save them in your TomTom map folder , the beauty about this program is it remembers all your POI's you have installed and you can autoupdate the files at the click of 1 button,

With the PDA i am getting the message that a GPS signal is not available now. Navigation will start automatically when a GPS signal is available.

I drove over to Edinburgh, some 40 miles and still it hadn't picked up, also went a walk over fields and still nothing! Com1 is activated and also showing a signal but won't pick up.

    Any Ideas?

What navigation software are you using?? Have you made sure the GPS ariel is folded away from the back and able to see the sky. TomTom software requires you to change the GPS reciever in the TOMTOM options. (it did with me anyway)
