One word of warning though Snaggs.

I have always assumed I'd feel much better about myself when I've lost some weight, got fitter etc etc. I realised when I lost 3 stone last year and felt no better about myself that I could get down to my ideal weight and probably still have no confidence/low self esteem. I'm still trying to work out whether confidence is simply something you either have or dont have :o

Trust takes time to achieve. As I said, I put DH through all sorts of awfullness, testing him to see if he was like the bar stewards I'd been with before. He passed the test ;)
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

    I agree with Spud.
It's like the shopping thing, we start 'if only-izing' meaning that we see something we want and decide when we have that we will feel better/thinner/ smarter/happier etc.
So we buy it and still feel the same so we look for the next life altering thing that will make us feel all the above... and so the spending cycle goes on!

No,I think we start out with it and it gets knocked out of you, bit by bit...the odd careless comment made by someone, like chinese water torture and before you know it, it's all gone and you can't make the simplest decision for fear of cocking up-that's me anyhow!I am having a real tough time of it at the mo,on the confidence front-it's just all gone...although I had a horrible dream last night (that was SO vivid!) that my DH had a chinese mistress (???) in our house, and when I found out I beat him to death with my laptop!!!Any psychologists here tonight wanna analyse THAT ??

Ive been doing housework in an effort to get warm  thats how bad it is!

Its not too bad in fairness if I stay in the living room where the fire is - Im just being a wimp. The kitchen is freezing though because its an extension so has nothing above or to the sides - but at least it will keep me away from food! x
