  • I'm in again this week at least to level one....thanks Pigpen

I am back at the hospital tomorow morning for more tests & another scan, but will make a start on flying when I get back.

Pinkfairy you have been poorly for some considerable time & it has taken it's toll, I would take the time off to recuperate & go back after Christmas hopefully a lot stronger xx just my opinion xx

Sexymouse did you get to Pets at Home? It was very busy when I went.

Hugs to all that need them xx

    Evening All,

Please can I be added to the list agin :)

I managed 2 days last week before I caught DP's man flu :(. It wiped me out for the rest of the week.

I'm pleased it's the bathroom first - mine needs cleaning.

Just one question if I may - what's a furry bog hat  . Do I have one??
sammy honey you are on the list - you dont need to ask each week - you're on it until you say otherwise!!!!! and we love having you with us - what a generous DP you have giving you the flu - hope you are fully recovered - dont get too carried away.
'furry bog hat' loo seat cover!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Pink - you have been through the mill - clearly still not well as has been shown by your relapse - look after yourself and take the week off (says she who struggles into work when not well herself)
There are those people who will be off for nothing at all (I have even heard of a bloke having a day off for a nosebleed!) and there are those who struggle on and work themselves into a worse state. They know you're not right - stay off and get better.

You may not have seen - can you name names? First names of people with that surname'll do...ta

Furry bog hat - durr at me!

I was hoping it was going to be kitchens tomorrow as I did mine today :D. Including testing the fire alarm. Twice. :rotfl::rotfl:Mind you I'm planning on doing some baking with my 3 year old tomorrow, so it will probably need a complete clean again afterwards :rotfl:

Just been doing my accounts and it looks like we are going to just go over our overdraft limit in the next few days which will mean a massive charge, so I'll have to put the child beneft money in on Tuesday to cover it. Which means I'm going to have to rely completely on what we've already got in for meals. I'm determined to get this overdraft reduced over the next 12 months (and it will probably take that long to do it. Trouble is as everything goes up except our income it's getting harder all the time. I'm really fed up with the constant (losing) battle with money. I'm only glad we don't have any credit cards!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was baffled about that! DH and I housesat for a couple years ago who had a furry seat cover :eek:. I whipped that off whilst we were staying there. Couldn't think of anything more unhygienic

Summer stuff packed away into spare room wardrobe. Spare bed located and duvet cover & pillow cases in WM with my bedding. Utility room almost cleared ready for whatever the builder is going to try to do tomorrow to salvage the floor  , soup frozen & kitchen almost clear. Back upstairs again to rearrange stuff so it looks tidy :p

Might test my smoke alarms on the way up, just so I have something else done...

Oh yes... and I've also washed all the gardening gloves which were used the other weekend. They were caked in mud, not all of which has come out, but should at least be useable!

Quick post then I might do some catching up before bedtime and I apologise for the fact that it is completely off topic!

:oBefore you think this is just a cry for sympathy, I know that there are a lot of my flying friends with a lot worse health problems. :o Most of you will know I've not been very well with chest infections, pleurisy etc. After almost 6 weeks off sick, I went back to work last Monday, by Thursday I was full of a cold, and even the manager at one of the care homes I visited commented on Friday that I was still unwell. Today, having coughed most of yesterday and during the night, I contacted the Out-of-Hours service and had to go and see the doctor. I was told not to drive myself by the person I spoke to on the phone (he called himself a clinician). Anyway, the doc checked me over very well and said my chest sounds quite clear at the moment, but he thinks it's just the congestion is playing havoc with my asthma and has given me a decongestant syrup to help. The question is "Do I go to work this week, coughing and spluttering as I am, or do I say "Stuff it" and take yet another week off, knowing I've then got two further weeks leave over Christmas and New Year, by which time I would hope to be fully recovered? General consensus would be helpful. I feel slightly guilty about leaving my colleague to carry the workload, but she won't ask for help from head office! And I also think that if I keep struggling on, it will just keep coming back and not clearing properly. Oh heck! What to do?

Right..... YOU contact head office.. explain to them the situation and ask for some cover to help your colleague!! .. Then.. you take as long as you need to get yourself healthy.. and get some vitamin supplments as well!! You sound like you really need them as you can't fight off these infections

    And that's an order!
