PF - looks like we all agree that you should take time off to recover. Pigpen's idea of contacting head office to ask for cover seems sensible (as does her suggestion of supplements).

Landing now tidy, but I'm getting back ache, so off to have a bath while I wait for the WM to finish, then I can make my bed and get into it!

I WILL get the study done tomorrow :D

Lady-L, Hope all goes well tomorrow, will be thinking of you.

    Pink - listen to Pigpen.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes - I've had a lovely lazy day with chocs and a new CD and other gifties. OH did all the ironing and off for a day out tomorrow.

Will attack the Bathrooms when I get home.

Night all - off to bed. Will have to run it withour vinegar as I don't use it that much (I am actually sort of allergic - makes me *glow* and cough!) and have only got a bit in for chips (which I don't eat...)

If you get the chance read the end of the book sometime.
I don't mind adapters losing characters and extra story lines from Dickens, but I see no reason to change part of his main story line for no obvious reason
I'm intrigued now...will def try and find it!

Thanks for the feedback. ladies. I feel a bit of a fraud, but I've had sick notes for every week and the doc doesn't just give them for no reason. I think I'll be staying home again! I'm going to be as popular as sour milk, but I ache such a lot from coughing, can't be delivering training sessions without coughing and spluttering, and don't feel strong enough to be wandering around doing observations - apart form the high risk of spreading germs in care home, and my eyes keep watering - although that might be from reading some of the soppy stuff posted on here tonight! (Boddy - I hope you feel guilty for making me fill up!:o)

Pigpen - I've been taking zinc and echinacea since I started feeling rough, but don't think it's helped. As for Head Office, you don't know them. I had a staff survey the other day - I'm not sure how honest they expect us to be, but they won't like mine if I complete it as I feel. Also my colleague is a control freak anyway, and likes to show she can cope with anything, so won't ask for help anyway. She called while I was off before and DS said how rough she looked, but it's her choice - this is the one who is applying for a new job within the company as a trainer on one of our systems, which will entail working away from home for maybe 3 - 4 days at a time, with an 8 and a 10 year old, the 10 year old having childhood arthritis. Like I say, it's her choice and she is a very different personality to me, but my job is a means to an end, whereas hers is her life! IYSWIM. I''ve had emails that she has sent at 2 and 3 am!

Anyway, I'm off to dose myself up with inhalers, cough medicine and pain killers before diving in to bed with a couple of wheat bags. Hope you all have as good a night as possible. God bless all my lovely, caring and supportive "on line" friends! x

If they don't like the answers they shouldn't ask the questions.. Reply as you feel.

You are showing compassion and 'team spirit' thinking of your colleague.. that is a good thing.. stuff how she feels or thinks about it, she is being pig headed, she'll get no thanks for it she will just end up off sick and leave you in the lurch when you get back.

I am not a firm believer in 'alternative' remedies.. I'm not a great believer in conventional medicine either but .. hey ho... dose yourself up with whatever you need to to make yourself feel better.. I am sucker for lemsips and vicks sinex... and trusty old strepsils..

Germ spreading is NOT advisable.. I know you were taught to share but somethings are best kept to oneself.. how would you feel if one sof the old bids caught something they couldn't fight off? You'd never forgive yourself..

Remembered just in time that I had to do at least one of the feedback forms sitting in my inbox by 9am tomorrow, so that's done. No idea whether it reflects reality or not - the person concerned does most of their work with my team rather than me, but the fact that they're working with us at all means they deserve good feedback.

Right... off to work out what else can get done tonight. I MUST get up at a sensible time tomorrow morning.

    Hey all!

Just got back from an annual photography club meal and I won a trophy for the most promising beginner :D Along with someone else so I need to only keep my mantelpiece clean for 6 months ;) Also got a coaster for coming third in the enprint league.

Will hopefully feel up to flying tomorrow. :D
