If they don't like the answers they shouldn't ask the questions.. Reply as you feel.

You are showing compassion and 'team spirit' thinking of your colleague.. that is a good thing.. stuff how she feels or thinks about it, she is being pig headed, she'll get no thanks for it she will just end up off sick and leave you in the lurch when you get back. Oh no she won't, because I would ask for help and if it didn't arrive, the extra work wouldn't get done!

I am not a firm believer in 'alternative' remedies.. I'm not a great believer in conventional medicine either but .. hey ho... dose yourself up with whatever you need to to make yourself feel better.. I am sucker for lemsips and vicks sinex... and trusty old strepsils.. Also taking Seretide, Ventolin, Prednisolone, Galphaseud, Codydramol, Olbas Oil (well - Superdrugs own brand) and Jakeman's Chest and Throat Sweets (only thing that stops the cough but all food and drink tastes foul after them!:rotfl:)

Germ spreading is NOT advisable.. I know you were taught to share but somethings are best kept to oneself.. how would you feel if one sof the old bids caught something they couldn't fight off? You'd never forgive yourself..
You'd think, working in the H & S C Sector, our bosses would agree with that!

I text my Line Manager at 7.00am. Her response - "OK - will you be off all week?"

I need a new job! :rotfl:

Have just been on line this morning and bought tickets for X Factor tour for mum and sis (and me - well they'd get lost without me wouldn't they :D) and got tickets to see Pink for DH (and me :D) as a surprise

Off to grab brekkie then on with the festivities.....................
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

    Morning all

Very late here this week, had power cuts Sat night/Sun morning which b*ggered up the alarm and kept waking Miss A. Between nativity, they were great :D best King and Angel there ;) alarm sorting, Nannie visiting (got a frosty reception but couldn't give a d*mn at the moment!) and tree putter uppering nothing else got done.

There is a HUGE pile of toys/carp in the middle of the lounge floor and today HAS to be operation wrap as I have not done any and I only have 2.5 days to do it all and stash it.

Will try and skim read in my breaks. Will have to abandon the old thread but I did seethe posts for W from Triker and Toots for W thanks :D (have left them open in tabs for him to see later)

Hope all are well, I do remember there was a lot of illness and sadness towards the end of last week so hugs all round to everyone.

  • Gryfon - congratulations!

LL - you are in my thoughts today as well!

Lil_me - hugs, hun. You're having it tough ATM. Hope DP is OK, although I can't understand why nothing's been done when they have CCTV evidence (thinking of stabbings etc). Even more hugs re: Megan. You will do what is right, when it is right for you!

Re: Funeral - it sounds a lot. I'm not sure how much Mum's was last year, as she had all sorts put away for it, but I'm sure there is (was ) at least £1k from the Government which I know we had when DH's Aunt died. I'd definitely ask for a breakdown of costs and "refine" where you can. Take care of your self too, with all that's going on!

Off to do a bit of very low grade flying - ie empty/refill WM, load TD, make our bed and SS bathroom/shower room. Do you reckon that's a HHC?

  • I am on a mission this week. This house will be decluttered, clean and freshly painted before xmas:eek: Have bought all the paint and stuff etc to do the LR/kitchen and hall which are the worst. Decluttering will happen as i go along, i bought extra black bags this week:D Have just emptied the DW and refilled, done the dishes that dont go in the DW, just going to put a wash on, put the dishes away so they dont get dust when i sand, and maybe have some food.
    Wish me luck:o

Thinking of you today Lady Liberty, hope it all goes well.
Hugs to everyone really as there is so much going on at the moment i think we could all do with some TLC.
