mumofjusttwo, there are so many in a similar situation, a lot of our family and friends are either redundant or are going to be, wishing your husband the best of luck in finding a new job
Craftyscholar well done
boddy, sounds like you are getting some of the appreciation you deserve x
DavGirl hope you are feeling better
LL thinking of you tomorrow!
Valli if I sit anywhere that is 'above' other people in a suspended sort of way I feel sick all the way through, so me toohope it's good tho, we haven't managed to go this year
onlineid wow that's an early holiday start!
greenbee good luck getting it all sorted for when you go away, my DP calls it 'cleaning for the burglars!'
Jayjay hope you had a nice day
Justamum can you not get an increase in the OD allowance to try and stop the 'paying for nothing' charges?
jjef well done with the ironing
Sammy_girl hope you feel better soon
Gryfon well done
sexymouse have you thought of asking on freecycle for a washing line? I gave one away a while back which needed new strings which would be a £1 shop job, good rotary airer tho. I have a retractable line from argos which I like as I can put it away when using the garden.
Pink Fairy, if I am right saying you get no thanks for going in ill, I think you should (because of how ill you being the strong one carrying on regardless has made you before) consider saying stuff it! They do say if everyone with a cold stayed off work the world would come to a standstill but in your line of work I think patients/clients would prefer people not to be giving them germs.
Flower, we'll have you banned if you keep up posts like that! Pleased you are having a wonderful time however, you deserve it x
Michelle sorry to hear the boys aren't much better, been thinking of you today
Triker sounds like you have had a productive weekend
juliejim thinking of you and yours, sorry to hear about Brandy, such a hard decision and one I am still avoiding.
Nicki you are like me, take too much on, learn to say no honey (I know I should take some of my own advice) thanks for the 'brownies' reminder, must get something for DS2 for Beavers....forgot about that
soda crystals, I don't tend to use much, if the washer hasn't had a run through for a while maybe a couple of tablespoons
Megan is 2 steps forward and 2 back at the mo, great this morning boinking about the garden then fell tonight and struggling to walk, emotional roller coaster, one minute I think well she's the same as she was last year then something else happens.
I need to be in but so much on. Tomorrow parcels morning so will fly then while I am waiting (silver lining as it makes me be in the house), DS1s performance 1-3 then dash back to collect DS2, then take them to hairdressers, then pick Matthew up, his Mam's not one for cotton wool treatment so he's coming with me to the party, that'll be fun as so far he hates toy santas and has never seen a 'real' one yet :rotfl: then off to the party with 3 terrors, come back, drop Matthew off, go home and collapse :rotfl: at least tea is out so if I do the kitchen in the morning I won't need to mess it up! Mam is now going to her friends xmas day so plans rejigged again, families eh!
Seeing cousins today wasn't nice really, we did manage to get his little parrot rehomed which was good, he loved his animals and would have hated anything bad to happen to him, such a lovely tame pet, how much time my uncle spent with him really showed. Funeral costs things was discussed a little but have asked my Dad to call them, he's done this a lot unfortunately, cousins going to be ripped off otherwise, he thinks the funeral director was being nice when he suggested asking the social to pay for it (which they won't) rather than them get into debt, I said if he was 'nice' he'd have been suggesting what they asked for, no fuss/faff, their Dad hated funerals, wouldn't goto other peoples, he'd hate them to spend a fortune on his, he told loads of his friends if they went to his funeral he'd haunt them forever which is just typical of him. He was a king horder, definately not a flyer either so there is a lot for my cousins to do. Council have given them 2 weeks, how lovely and patient of them! Was some nice bits, remembering things we did as kids when we seen each other more, laughing with his friends about things he said and did (he was VERY much a character, noone where he lived hasn't heard of him or doesn't know who he is I don't think) finding things he'd kept that we remember from when we were kids etc. They have said possible funeral dates are 22nd, which isn't good, or after Christmas which is even worse! See what the week brings I think.
DP went to sleep at about 10pm (was out at 7am after getting in at 2.30am) he got punched last night at work so wasn't in a great mood, some moron who didn't want to pay. Backhander so he's fine, nose only bled a little. Makes you wonder what people do things like that for, all for a £12 taxi fare, CCTV will be checked but can't see anything being done, wasn't the last time. So have spent my evening catching up with you lot mainly! Gobby bunch you are. Going to sort uniforms for in the morning, make sure I have enough clean/dry will be a start, get DSs sandwiches, dogs out then bed time.
Good night all, hopefully catch up with you in the morning xOne day I might be more organised...........

Third lot, lovely but in seperate cases instead of the bun type trays which are incidently silicone, have [STRIKE]eaten quite a few[/STRIKE] just the oneand very nice[STRIKE] they[/STRIKE]it was too.
Now heading for my bath, may sweep past the pies for a[STRIKE] cram in the mouth moment[/STRIKE] clinical overview and will maybe be back later.:DDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

lil-me.......what a day you and your OH have had eh?
So sorry to hear 'bout the bad stuff, do you think a swift word in the funeral director's ear would help i.e. a breakdown of costs etc. Are they regulated? Amazing amount of money to ask, I mean whose got that typr of money knocking about?
Re your OH getting belted.............too much, coud he not keep some of that smart water in his cab to spray people like that with, that or pepper spray.;)DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Triker, if he'd caught him (it was last night, well 2am ish) he'd have clobbered him likely, literally threw a backhander at him. He has just steering locks etc in his car
no weapons, sprays etc. The smart water might be an idea, but it's catching the toerags, nothings ever done, 2 of the lads have been stabbed in the last year and nothing was happened. His boss has called, lovely guy who worries a lot, think it'll not be long before he gets a screened cab. Funeral, that's why I have asked Dad to get in touch with him, go through the list they were given, they want £75 so that my cousin can see him, horrible how much these things cost.
Well done on your pies by the way, thought you didn't like them? Oh and enjoy that bath
Think I should get to bed, I will be tired in the morningnight night (if I come back, please kick me!)
One day I might be more organised...........

Sorry you've had such a bad day lil_me. There have been lots of reports in the media on funerals and the problems of people being ripped off, but I'm sure you and your dad will get it sorted - if they're challenged they're likely to back down... and there's always the threat of going to the local press...
... glad your mince pies worked out Triker... are there any left
Had my bath, finished my book, bedlinen in TD to go crispy overnight. Plan (I'm not convinced I'll manage it) to get up at the crack of dawnand keep on tidying... and maybe fit in a HHI or two  ...

Looks like it'll be an easier run to work this morning - we have no frost! Hurrah! But it's not particularly warm!
Will find something to do flying wise this evening as I did the bathroom and study area (my bedroom) yesterday. Maybe I'll do the utility area....
