  • All the dishes are away, WM is on, have emptied the hall cupboard looking for the electric sander so that is all neatly put back. Is amazing how much more space there is when things are put away neatly:rolleyes: Need to go and put some scabby clothes on before i start the sanding. Tea and toast first though.

Lil_me - hugs, hun. You're having it tough ATM. Hope DP is OK, although I can't understand why nothing's been done when they have CCTV evidence (thinking of stabbings etc). Even more hugs re: Megan. You will do what is right, when it is right for you!

Re: Funeral - it sounds a lot. I'm not sure how much Mum's was last year, as she had all sorts put away for it, but I'm sure there is (was ) at least £1k from the Government which I know we had when DH's Aunt died. I'd definitely ask for a breakdown of costs and "refine" where you can. Take care of your self too, with all that's going on!

Oh no, seems like I need to back track, can anyone point me to lil_me's post on this please, sounds like you need HUG HUGES

Woke up early this morning - 4.30am. I think I must have slept very lightly last night as DS was struggling last evening with his asthma. He couldn't get to sleep until after he'd had a couple of puffs of his inhaler, then this morning he needed another couple as he was still quite wheezy. Is OK now though.

I got up early and made the packed lunches and made coffee for DH and I to drink in bed. I brought it into the bedroom just as his radio came on (it's set for 5.22am. Don't ask :confused:)

    WM x 2 done
    Breakfast dishes washed
Dough for 4 loaves on first rising

    To Do -
    1. Cancel TV licence DD - signal is going off in June, so I've paid up to then already!
    2. Put Christmas money from Mum into bank to stop us falling over the brink of our overdraft. Don't want to pay charges.
    3. Start wrapping pressies for children - I need to see if I have enough paper.
    4. Pigpen's list
    5. Make biscuits with DD2  (the mess, the mess )
    See you all later.

 Thanks all! Got a million and one things to do at the moment. House looks like a bomb has hit it. Was reading a book on clutter earlier (yes I have about four ;)) and it asked what you would save if there was a fire. Now apart from the usual family and pets the only other things I'd be desperate to save are my photos which are all in one drawer and on my computer and external hard drive. Much as I would hate to loose everything else it's only the photos which I'd panic about loosing. Made me think that maybe then I don't really need as much stuff as I have ;)

Anyway I have a list as long as both arms and legs to get through this week, don't think I'll manage it all in one day!

Monday - bathroom, study and other grotty places!
    Level One
Clean the loo and the bath and the shower and the basins!
Defragment PC and run spyware scans while scrubbing
    Level Two
    Wash windows
    Clean curtains/blinds etc
    Declutter floors
    Level Three
Wash bathmats/shower curtain and furry bog hats
Replace any sponges/flannels/toothbrushes etc that need it
throw out any empty bottles.. decant dribbles into fuller bottles
    Extras -
    1. Finalise those last minute presents you have to buy..
    2. Post all the cards you need to post
    3. Wrap all the presents for family/friends
    4. Finalise shopping orders/lists for your christmas food shop.. remember shops are only closed for one day!!!!
    Dailies:

    DW
    WM
    Clear and vacuum lounge floor
    Clear and wash kitchen floor
    Clear kitchen table
    Washing up
    Wipe work surfaces
Fold and make ready for others to put away clean clothes
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

SPC2 #571 - trying to get as much as possible

We lost all the photos off our computer recently when it was upgraded. The only file from the whole computer which went missing  (all the photos of the children from being babies). Very luckily a workmate of DH's has the software which police use to find deleted files from computers (when criminals think they have wiped their computers clean ;)) so he managed to retrieve them for us. I must admit we were both very down for a few days until he did this for us.
