mumoffour -thanks i don't know whether to cancel cinema plans for tonight or go and try and forget that OH is being an idiot. All he does when we disagree on something is bring up that he can't trust me because I said I wouldn't speak to my ex and I did a few months ago- for a few mins to be polite in company. The bad news is Mr Skint has decided he's had enough of living here and has gone home to his mum because I asked him why he was overdrawn again when he only got paid this morning and owes me £200 - which I need to pay dd's due next Mon. That turned into a whole argument about trust and he started on about my ex again. So now he's gone and I don't really know what to do with myself.
taek care honey and come on here whenever you nedd support or to rant or wahtever.

hugs for skint chick, and anyone else who needs one
hope you had a great night AnW
ta to Lil me for the heads up on Quidco and book people, just waiting for book people to track and I will have another full card. £25 isn't bad for me on my own (cos no one else wanted to play even though I did ask on here mutter, mutter) and I haven't bought anything I wouldn't have done otherwise.
Not a lot done here, DH has man flu and I have a banging headache so suspect it is my turn next. Before I slope off to bed and be ill in peace I must put the uniforms in the TD and empty fill the DW.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Hmm didn't get much done today at all, let alone what was on my list..lol.
Post niece's Christmas present special delivery at the post office. - will have to do this tomorrow
Put Christmas tree up and decorate it. Have sort of cleared a gap in the corner, bought the tree down from upstairs, but haven't unpacked it yet. I might do it this evening while DH is cooking dinner (he doesn't know that he is cooking yet but he will when he gets home..hehe)
Write a grovelling email to DH begging him to give me some money for the weekend..lol seriously this isn't as bad as it sounds it's just I'm broke and I don't get my benefit money until Sunday
Try not to cry too much over my finances, or lack of I should say.
Prepare veg for parsnip soup and pumpkin soup.will have to do this tomorrow
Cook above soups (hopefully!)will have to do this tomorrow
Drink plenty of fluids
Eat something substantial, as yesterday I really wasn't interested in food. Although saying that I'm not interested today either.
Curl up on sofa and watch trashy t.v. and keep warm
At the moment I am now sitting on the sofa with a glass of wine and cheesey christmas songs on t.v. I don't care that I am not supposed to mix cold medicines with drink, I think I'm beyond caring now..lol
Ack that didn't take long for Alexandra's song to hit VH1, and the video is of her winning the X Factor. Hmm they could have done a Christmassy video..
Hex hope you are all feeling better soon.

Evening all
Justamum -re the potatoes - I'd give a trial run first before Christmas day just to make sure they come out to your taste - it would be awful to have an untried disaster on the big day
Toots - well done on passing your exam and with such a good mark too!
Mum..77 - that's good news on your course - so glad the pressure is off you. And wishing your DD all the best.It must be quite a trial for you all.
Lady-l - take it easy if you're feeling sore...
A n Mum - enjoy the mighty Quo!
LikkelG - hugs about your Dad
Skintchick - big hugs for you
I'm seriously demob happy now. I've finished work until 5th January! Yay! So I'm having a celebratory LARGE and early G&T!. I need to write a list of things to do before Christmas and stick it up here in a bit once I've decided what's practical and what's not.
May also have done my civic duty this evening but I'm not sure. When I went out to go to work this morning, there was a motorbike parked halfway across my drive meaning I couldn't get my car out. Most unusual - I've not seen it in the street before and it was a bizarre place to park it. So, I moved the thing (it was bl**dy heavy!) to between two cars on the road outside next door.
Get home this evening and it's still there. So, I phoned the local police station - only had to wait 15 minutes to get through... said I was wondering if it was stolen. The chap I spoke to asked for the reg no - I gave it to him, he paused a bit and then said 'I'll let Officers know'. I asked is it stolen then? He said he couldn't tell me anything. So what do you think ladies - if it wasn't 'known' would he just have said there was nothing to do?I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
