All I can say is . . . BL00DY HELL, PIGPEN! You don't do things by halves in your family, do you :rotfl: Glad everyone is ok.
Hello everyone!
I've been a bit scarce lately. Don't you hate how work and the quest for the almighty dollar (or pound or euro in your case) takes over everything else?!?
Things done during and since the weekend:
Mirror finally up in entry - put up by OH and the builders next door - but it's too low  Never mind, have decorated entry way and trying to ignore the lowness every time I walk in the door - don't want to appear ungrateful, and all that . . .
Entry decorated - as above post mentions
Christmas tree up - with some new lights bought at 60% off price
Christmas grog and food bought yesterday - just fresh stuff to go next week
Bus tickets booked for two oldest boys to come home for the big day :j :j
All pressies, bar a couple of top ups, bought
Christmas cards bought yesterday
I am planning a little photo gallery on one of the walls to be put up before Christmas - photos selected
That's enough for now - must shower and get ready for work. Bye . . .

Ok two things
One is not very moneysaving. But considering you and your BF are both very busy people, would it be worth considering getting a firm of cleaners to come in and do a few hours in the first instance? of course you'd have to do all the decluttering first but it might seem like a nice reward. The thought of spending a full week cleaning is incredibly depressing
Otherwise I really liked flylady's baby steps - see here for more info. the bigger flylady thing still scares the bejeesus out of me
but the baby steps do help keep things under control...http://www.flylady.net/pages/begin_babysteps.asp
Oh and final piece of advice - get rid of as much stuff as possible. Stuff is time lost!
Good luck!0 -

pigpen OMG:eek:        thank goodeness you are all ok - how frightening for you and the children - does that prove that your fire alarms work or did you get a ticking off from the boyos!!:rotfl: :rotfl: speaking of which were there any nice hunky ones in their uniforms?:rotfl:
seriously though I am glad you are safe but what a time for it to happen - I guess you wont know until the assessor arrives but its going to be tight getting it done before Christmas isnt it? Are you doing a meal for all your family incl mothers, sisters etc? Poor DS3 was he very upset and realised what he had done? poor wee soul. and what about hazel and peaches did they run away with all the comotion!
as for the little witch at school she needs sorting out and I think you are just the person to do it! hope you can still manage to get to the school now.
she is the one who should be getting punished - and her friends although they are probably just following 'orders'. You need to get this sorted before they break up or it will just get pushed aside for the holidays.
wish we were nearer to come and help you get sorted in the house.
love and hugs and all sorts of mushy stuff
toots xxPeace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Chips are the modern day manna from heaven.;):D
I also don't eat choccy cake or ice cream...but you ALL know I am odd, apparently:rotfl:
Well done you! Hey all!
Just got back from an annual photography club meal and I won a trophy for the most promising beginner
Along with someone else so I need to only keep my mantelpiece clean for 6 months
Also got a coaster for coming third in the enprint league.
Will hopefully feel up to flying tomorrow.

Hi,
Hope everyone is well & welcome newbies/returners. We're now moving on the 22nd because the dates for DH's dialysis are different over Xmas week. Social Services are giving us a grant to hire removal men & they've given us some money to pay brother-in-law to do decorating, but not enough, so Dad & I have also been decorating. But we'd like to be out of here asap because we're receiving housing & council tax benefit for 1 property, but paying on the other. So far today I've done errands & decorating & washed bedding. My aims for the rest of the evening are to dop more errands & laundry0
