pink - was it you that was asking about golden syrup? I checked the prices in Tesco tonight. Tesco value 680g for 77p (thats what I usually buy) Lyles 454g for 99p or 907g £1.57.
johanne - is your water back on yet? Is DD in a routine or is she not in a routine because OH works shifts? My ex worked shifts so I know it can be difficult.
lil_me - on the sky plus, when you go into the planner, if you highlight the programme you dont want the boys to delete, and then press the blue button, a white K with a blue background and a white circle round it will appear (stands for keep programme). Mind you, if they try to delete it, a message will come up and they can still go ahead and delete. I'm well impressed with you boning and rolling a turkey. My ex is a chef and he always used to do that for my mum. She asked him one year to show her how to do it and she's been doing it for years now. Just as well eh? lol She freezes a 'cracker' for New Year
Did anyone find Nigella really irritating on her Christmas specials? I'm playing catch up with my sky plus and I just want to slap her. I love her books and I love her when she's being interviewed, but I'm finding her programmes more and more irritating. Who on earth finds that lychees remind them of their childhood? I'm about 10 years younger than her and didnt know what a lychee was until about 1990! grrrrr And I cannot believe she just described something as 'beaver pink'!!!!
CAn I ask a stupid question? Who is Tom on Strictly?0

            Congrats Emily.
The floor seem more wet towards the wall, hope it's just raising damp as that problem should be sorted by march.
Right big food cupboard now tidy, and i'm half way through the top of the kitchen table. Livingroom all messy again.:mad:Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0

Tom on Strictly Come Dancing is on Holby City (so if you don't watch that you likely wouldn't know)
I can't believe Lisa went out first! Would have loved to see her go further just because of the difference in her.
AUSTIN !!!! Now he could have gone further IMO! That shirt, nomnomnomnom! He's lovely
ARGH!!! Why do kids tell you they have wet their bed the night before at 9pm at night, we've been through it so many times that he needs to tell me on the morning so I won't be cross blah blah blah, sleeping bags in house from caravan luckily as other sheets are still in wash off yesterday (had just done his bed) thank goodness I had those.
Speaking of syrup, I just caught DS2 drinking it from the bottle, little devil!
SSL they know how to do that already, they put Keep on theirs too! If I can stop it copying over my stuff so it just copies over theirs it'll help.
Oh the Turkey, :rotfl: the laptop spent 2 hours in the kitchen with me on Christmas day :rotfl:I took everyone with me for the help and support to save me dashing back and forward! I did have to clean flour etc off it later. I'd never boned anything fresh before (or cooked anything turkey other than a prepared roll) so was very proud of myself, I bagged it in little sliced portions for sandwiches and was still eating turkey leg roll sandwiches at Easter as there is only me who will usually have the leg meat. Turkey was a whopper! I was scared of it not cooking properly as I was told the legs are the worst bits to try to get right, undercook etc so felt it was safer to 'have them off'. I've decided to do beef and chicken this year but still might try the same with the chicken legs. One day I might be more organised...........
