Rach, you'll laugh at this - I know because I did! I had convinced myself it was on the south side of the street. I parked my car near the train station and walked up looking to my left. I was surprised I couldn't see it but, then realised it was across the road on the north side of the street. When I came out again, I automatically turned right instead of left to get back to the car and was really surprised when I couldn't see it parked up anywhere but then realised I was almost at the precinct - I had to walk all the way back again!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

DH has gone to get the food, typically just as he went his team equalised....have now promised not to turn the tv over so he can rewind when back!
Pile of stuff on sofa in lounge is annoying me, should be easy enough to sort tomorrow but i don't usually have hotspots...still, tomorrow's another day.
Had a lovely bath with my book and was reflecting on how all the tension has gone out of my shoulders and how great I feel now work is over for a while! I don't hate my job but I do find it stressful. Feel rather sleepy again, won't be too late to bed tonight. DH reckons he doesn't fancy any wine tonight but we'll see...I might have to crack open the gin or vodka otherwise...Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

Finished early as I decided to watch strictly, I'm not a huge fan of the programme but used to dance in my childhood and still enjoy watching good standard dancing.
I think it's Penny who has Tom in her signature. I'll be honest I think I prefered Lisa and Brendan so far, based on dance quality alone, she's come such a long way aswell, Rachel and Vincent such chemistry! Actually as I typed the rest of this message Tom came on, he's done an amazing job of that! Sorry but Lisa and Brendan 10 10 10 10 brilliant!
Rach nice to know you are managing to wind down a little, I am sure the stress of the travelling doesn't do you much good either. Enjoy your evening.
DSs are watching DVD (documentary on Wolves Grandad got DS2 for Christmas) in DS2s room, I am very worried they will start investigating my room, earlier DS1 tried to get in there and when I said no I think I made him suspicious.....One day I might be more organised...........

Evening everyone, I'm still here!
Marginally better today as I don't feel yucky and am coughing less. Still got the gurgly chest though.
Thank you for all the get well wishes, sympathetic hugs etc.Well done Pink - just what are you going to do with the massage couch when it arrives? Or daren't I ask?
Errrrrrrrr - massage.Seriously, I'm doing a Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology, and a Diploma in Holistic Massage - and it's all free!:j:j:j It's something I've always wanted to do, I did do a basic Reflexology course years ago (30 weeks) but couldn't afford to go on to the Diploma course, so now I'm grabbing the chance with both hands.
Pink Fairy - call the doctor if you need, that's what they're there for, and big big hugs.( My DS tends to be really horrible about stuff sometimes and then I discover that it's something totally different that is the trigger - could this be your OH too? Maybe he's really worried about losing his job when you are unwell and also not working? )
I suppose it could be, but I am getting sick pay, so not too big a problem. I've fortunately now got two weeks leave anyway, so hopefully I'll be fully recovered by the time we start back in the New Year.
Johanne - I might be teaching you to "suck eggs" as it were, but when mine were small, I used to put a plastic tablecloth under their high chair to catch the fall out. That way, you can just shake the debris into a small pile to sweep up, then wipe over the cloth for next time - easier than cleaning carpets. It was ME:j:j:j:T:T:T well me and Miss A.
Had a great time as one track started Miss A said 'this must be a new on on the new album' 'Mmmmm' said I 'It's new to you but it is actually their first ever hit!' She loved every second but was shattered.
Bought her a new T shirt and tour prog, tradition carried on from when DH and I used to go and see them
I'm glad you had such a wonderful time, both of you.
Emily - sounds like all going according to plan. Thinking of you on Upheaval Day, but at least once your things are in, you can take it easier sorting everything out. If we don;t see much of you over the next few days, I hope all goes well on the day, and have a wonderful Christmas.Does anyone think i'll be up for our usual christmas tradition? Every christmas eve we go to the garden centre, choose a decoration each and buy the pets their presents (DD does this). DH can drop me off right outside the door of the garden centre. I'm allowed ten minute walks from Christmas day so it's only a day early. I could take a cushion to protect myself (as in hold it over my stomach not hit people over the head). What does everyone think? xx
Our garden centres have wheelchairs to borrow - that might be a safer option for you, as people are less likely to bump into you, which could cause some damage. Otherwise, it might be very nice for you to go out for a short while. Definitely need a cushion over your tum in the car though! I see Soappie suggested that as well. And I've just seen the post about the tinsel etc.:rotfl:As for getting off the sofa - cushion against tum and roll you feet to the floor, fold yourself over in the middle with the cushion in place, then - very carefully - stand! :T
SSL - glad you've been out and got a smoke alarm. Pigpen's experience has probably made us all think hard about the risk of fire! The news from Edinburgh was shocking.
:hello: jeanbitus and welcome.
I've had my Sainsbury's delivery today, and done shopping at Lidl's/Aldi's with no problem - I was very surprised. I've also done my usual dailies, and washing and tumble drying.
When we sat down for lunch (I just had a cup-a-soup as still feeling iffy) we found A Miracle on 34th Street and watched that. I love the old films, and Natalie Wood was a beautiful little girl. At lunch OH announced he's climbing tomorrow, so as a punishment I sent him to B & Q! :rotfl:I said if he was going to be out all day, he could do the plastering (smooth over stuff) around the chimney breast so I could paint it tomorrow. I've put a coat on the longest lounge wall as well, but that's more than enough for today.
I went up for an early bath before Strictly, we've had pizza for dinner and I'm going to do some knitting, with my feet up!
Hope everyone else is well or at least recovering, we've had such a lot of problems recently.DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419
