  • I've never bought from grabitnow but always check the daily offer.

I agree with ben500 and others that the RRP on products is ridiculous. They should provide a link to the same product at the next cheapest price on the net (or for the nearest similar product) in the way that Boffer does. It's hard to guarantee lowest price, but at least comparing prices with Amazon, Play, Tesco etc would provide a real indication of whether it's a good deal or not.

I agree the RRP is too high, but they are not lieing, they do tell you where you can get similar or the same product at higher price. RRP is recomended retail prioce it is not cheapest price. Play and amazon generelly do not sell everything at rrp, so to state a saving comared to rrp and then link to somewhere that doesnt sell the item at rrp is a bit silly. Do you want every site and company that claim to make you a saving to give links to everywhere else that sells the product? To find out weather its a good deal ort not you should never take the website telling you its a good deals word for it and research the product for yourself. They could link to play.com for an item but you may still find it cheaper else where.

I don't recall questioning the quality of the goods just the bizzare claims of rrp. As for a witch hunt, I think not I have merely asked them to demonstrate the validity of their claims, which incidentally they have been unable or unwilling to do so far.

Sorry, was aimed at others who talked about tat and cr*p.

Send it back and get a refund if you are not happy, it's a free return. If you email them they will send you a return slip and prepaid label to print out.

  • I realise it's the luck of the draw and I wasn't promised anything. I just would have appreciated some variety. Eight key chains out of 20 items... As I said, I won't disparage the company and I appreciate they have many satisfied customers. This company just isn't right for me. I wonder if I will be publicly chastised by their forum member representative now.
  • Why can't the Grabitnow Office poster thank the people here who are helpfully suggesting that they compare their prices with the CHEAPEST ELSEWHERE on the net rather than the RRP for the product - we all know that most companies use artificial RRPs for the min 14 days and then do big offers!

    Just as an example..

Grabitnow coloured sphere (their hourly deal) - £3.39 delivered (saying you could save £22.07)

EXACTLY the same item on Dealextreme $3.90 delivered

    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.2041

I know its the same as this is one of the items I got from dealextreme in my last order from them
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

No they don't. More to the point although here on the thread regularly they have still not offered any explanation as to what they base their rrp on.

Together we can make a difference.
  • I think the RRP is pretty irrelevant. What most of us care about is whether or not today's deal is the best price on the net or not.
