We are not beholden to a few negative opinions on a Forum, when we know we are delighting many many thousands of Happy Shoppers. We are a very professional organisation and will not be changing our Business model to suit a few angry and gloomy individuals who seems determined for "Consumer Revenge" and seem determined to slate every company in this Great Country. So, as a conclusive summary this week : If you dont like the daily offer - then please dont buy it. If you have not bought the item - then please dont critisize the offer for those who have found the deal acceptable. If you have bought the item and you do not feel that it reaches your full expectations - please simply call customer services who will arrange a full refund. That sounds a good deal to Grabitnow
If you do have '1000's of satisfied customers', that's great. I'm sure a 'few angry and gloomy individuals' aren't going to make any difference to the success of your company....which begs the question of why on earth you would bother to come on here and defend yourself so forcefully?0 -
I used to run a pound stall and to be honest most of the items featured on the site would have been on there.
As with all sites you must be carefull with what you buy.
The rrp not only with grabitnow but many other sites should just be ignored, otherwise those £1.00 watches I used to sell with the rrp price tag off $149.00 would have made me a million.0 -
Not every company just those that do or would do it's customers a disservice, again not surprisingly you have not supplied any evidence or link to back up your outrageous savings claims for the items I posted, I'll make it easier for you shall I, how about you simply post some evidence for the last item? Here it is for you again:
" 10 Software Titles for 10 Pounds
We have an outstanding bargain for all our happy shoppers today. This brilliant pack of family software for your PC offers amazing value for money.
Price £10.00 | Saving: £140.00
I assure you I will be mightily impressed if you can substantiate this claim.
I've noticed these claims aswell and have spent many an hour trying to find them.
The last ones I couldn't find were these 2 HomeTek TENS Massager Kits the links to the companies showed no results.0 -
Alternatively if you feel you have been misled by the product description and have paid through paypal simply process an online cashback and let the company make their own arrangements to collect the unwanted and mis-described goods. There is no need to confront this obviously hostile "customer service" department. If you are merely disappointed you are still in a position to reject the goods under the distance selling regulations and return for a full refund postage paid.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

Personally I think it's very generous of you to be so understanding of a company you clearly accept is misleading you as a customer.
Can I just ask how they are misleading you? I personally know that when companies say save such and such that the rrp is never the price the company or any other company actual sells the items as. I don't see how this is any different to buying from anywhere else. At £10 for 20 items honestly what do you expect? Maybe my standards are just lower than other peoples but I'm not expecting the crown jewels I'm expecting cheap novelty items that I may or may not be able to use as stocking fillers. You're paying 50p per item I mean come on you can't get a cup of tea for that these days so surely you can't think that the company is going to be selling top notch expensive items?Never give up the dream! :beer:0 -
I totally agree - besides I love a suprise and this is just slightly more expensive than a BOC and I would love to get most of the items off the list! I just want a few last minute silly bits to put in the stockings. Who would really expect £100 worth of stuff for £10? You gets what you pays for, even in this day and age. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I have to agree with Ben as well.
I note that at the very bottom of their webpages, it states:
(*) This estimated saving is based on purchasing one item and priced against similar products that we have found or sold on the internet. Please note that this saving is to act as a guide only and we cannot guaranteed or be liable for this total saving, as prices change on the internet on a daily basis and it must be the purchasers responsibility to decide if the estimated saving is appropriate and acceptable in order to continue shopping with grabitnow.com
I think the important word here is 'similar'. It seems that their savings are based on similar products - rather than the actual products - which is (in my opinion) a bit misleading really. Perhaps providing links to where they have found the higher priced items (like some other companies do) would be more fair.
I also find the comments regarding 'anonymous' comments on websites a little amusing as the 'contact us' section of their website has a non-geographical telephone number and a PO Box for the address............
So you buy a tin of Heinz baked beens 69p or a tin of Tescos own brand beans at 16p. Is it the same product? Are you making a saving?, so you get a pair of Nike trainers at £69 or Hitek at £19, again is it the same product are you making a saving?if i had known then what i know now0 -
We are not in poundland or SCS, we are discussing a promotion by the company concerned and advising those who may be viewing the thread that this deal is not only short of it's claims but, at best not a deal at all and at worst a downright waste of money, people view mse for exactly this kind of information, often deals are posted and often they are not deals, this is one such case, I'm glad you are happy with your purchase perhaps you may like to go to their website and add to their glowing testimonial page?
No I don't.
If most people know then what is the harm in informing the remainder who don't?
Personally I think it's very generous of you to be so understanding of a company you clearly accept is misleading you as a customer.
For those that have purchased from them and are hapy then all is good, for those that have not yet purchased and are expecting to be happy then a little warning to the effect that this particular deal is not going to make them euphoric could be a welcome timely tip off.
I am not giving this company a glowing report, I am clearly stating the facts as I see them. I am not clearly being mislead as a customer, I am making my own choice as to buy or not to buy. I took offence initially to comments stating that all they sell is tatt, when clearly this is false, and they sell some reasonable items sometimes and sometimes cheaper than other places on the net. I agree some items are not 'Heinze' and more like 'smart price' but thats what some can only afford and at the prices and descriptions clearly can tell there not top products (talking about the 20 / 20 deals). If you had had a bad experience with this company not delivering the goods or taking ages to deliver or not responding when wanting to return an item or overcharging, then I would understand your gripe. But to slag of a company just because they sell lower quality items and state that they could make you a saving, I feel is a little weak! I am sorry if I have offended you with earlier replies but no offence was really meant!
A warning is a warning not a which hunt!if i had known then what i know now0 -
I would actually like an example of "sometimes cheaper than other places on the net" - As everytime I have been it is more expensive for any of the electronical stuff..... Was considering the 2.5" 500GB laptop hard drive but it is £10 more than online and is 2nd hand...0

I don't recall questioning the quality of the goods just the bizzare claims of rrp. As for a witch hunt, I think not I have merely asked them to demonstrate the validity of their claims, which incidentally they have been unable or unwilling to do so far.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0
