Hi Everyone
We booked a family room at the Kew Bridge Travelodge for May Bank Holiday, Fri May 26th for three nights, on the now sold out (for these dates) £26/night offer.
Unfortunately we cant go now, wedding invitation, and we cant cancel, if anyone wants this room for £75 for all Three nights let me know.0 -
I've stayed at the travel lodge loads of times, and can say that the rooms are always spotless and very clean for what you need them for.
That said, on 2 occasions, I have had to complain about the lack of hot water. The first time was in Southampton on New Years Day. There was no hot water to have a shower so we complained but they were unable to fix the problem. The second, 2 weeks later we were in Manchester, and the same thing happened, there was no hot water. Both times they refunded our money. OH started to joke about it, that I was cursed, but he wasn't moaning when I got my money refunded!
That said, I would never complain for something that wasn't genuine, but do feel that the policy is there to be honoured when something isn't right with your stay.Nice Shoes & Expensive Designer Handbags, are my downfall!0 -
I stay in Travel inn's on average about once every 2 weeks, i like the security of knowing what I am getting, warm clean rooms. Every time without fail, the 100% guarentee is mentioned to me by the receptionest on my arrival, and a copy is always in the room. What you have to remember is that if you have a complaint, you must let them know asap so that they have the opertunity to move you, or they have the right to refuse you the refund in the morning (except obviously if the problem arrises in the middle of the night) and in locations that have a noise problem, near airports, railways, motorway, etc. it is always mentioned on the website that you must be aware of this, so you cannot claim the refund on these grounds either. Saying that, I have had to use the guarentee about 4 times, and have never had a problem getting my room comped. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

£10 a room per night. Rooms can sleep 4. Complain about something under the bed/not tidy. Save £10-ie £2-50pp.
Moneysaving gone mad. Immoral...& ANAL. For gods sake-those that would be bothered to do this to save TEN QUID should get a life.
This board is really starting to scrape the barrel if we begrudge travelodge £10 room.0 -
I have stayed in Travellodges many many times and only ever had a problem once - when I broke the bed!
I was mortified but they were wonderful and I think that we should exercise that Cabbages and Roses mentality - compliment when things are great and complain when they aren't, without abusing their refund policy (although it is good to know they operate such a policy).
So, for me... Roses all the way so far!0
