I agree Jay-Jay. You SHOULD have been refunded. However, if the system is abused, honest people like yourself will suffer.

Im afraid this is now part of society.trip on the pavement-sue the council, dont blame yourself. Need a new telly- kick a football through it-claim your home insurance.
Everyone wants something for nothing regardless of the cost to others-including as someone has stated already, maybe someones job.
By all means if the room was dirty-complain, but to find fault or nit pick purely to get a refund or compensation-IMO is just below the belt.

I have stayed in Travelodges full price and £10 specials. All in all I think they are fine. Maybe I have been lucky up North but at the end of the day I choose not to go first class, which incidentally are not always up to scratch. I really hope people do not complain for the sake of it as that action will surely jeopodize the special deals and I will not be visiting my family half as often and loads of familes will not be getting the odd weekend away. Come on guys play fair! A room for 5 for a tenner- tea and coffee thrown in - and they clean it!!!! HAPPY HOLIDAY FOLKS

I wondered why our £10 room at the Travelodge this Christmas was so sparkling clean - now I know why they'v pulled the standards up from last year, when there were hairs in the bath...

I'm glad to hear that they have the 100% satisfaction guarantee, but it's our responsibility (as the Nouveau Poor?!) not to abuse it. I shall certainly mention it if we have any cause for complaint next time we use them, but I wouldn't like my children to grow up thinking it's OK to cheat by pretending there was something wrong when there wasn't.
  • Well i'm glad my post has caused so much controversy and I do agree with those of you who state that this should not be used unethically and I apolgise if i offended, I never seriously expected anyone to use it in this way, if there was any encouragment its only to expect the highest standard as ordinarily I wouldn't have pushed for a full refund for a coke can but 100% was their choice of words not mine and thats why I think if they are getting the benfits of claiming 100% satisfaction they have to accept the consiquences if someone who was 95% satisfied wants to take advantage. Don't forget they make millions extra from claiming 100% satisfaction or your moeny back so why should you settle for 99%

Has anyone got the link for £10 rooms or is this an ongoing offer on their website

I think if you intend to stay there again that you should change your name as they will have your name blacklisted for taking unfair advantage of their guarantee.
  • If I had known about this policy of 100% money back, I would have used it on the day there was no water available and no warning, therefore making me late to work! A jug of water after an hour of complaining, not really good enoug as there were free rooms availabke elsewhere where there wasn't a problem, as discovered later....a letter is on it's way.....thanks OP

This is a genuine complaint and Í'm glad that you are taking advantage of their guarantee. Even if they hadn't had this in place, they shouldn't have charged you!
