Hi everyone,
A sneaky trick for when your staying at the travelodge. They have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, I have spoken to a series of managers and the companies policy is that if you mention to 100% guarantee when complainng about anything and I mean anything even a can of coke under the bed then they cannot refuse to give you a full refund!
Apparantly they lose around amillion pounds a year because of this but make around 4 million because of the number of business who feel condfident sending staff like me there because they assume it will be a high standard
Enjoy :A

Since we've stayed in several Travelodges recently and only spent £10.00 per room, and without exception all the staff have been really great, I think that it's a bit rotten to complain if nothing is wrong - though fair enough if some else's can of coke is left under your bed - why would you be under there anyway!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000

This isn't a 'quick, grab it'.
This is, in my eyes, suggesting you find something to complain about just to stay for free. 'A sneaky trick' it is not.
Not honest & shouldn't be here.
When they stop doing there £10 rooms you wont be a happy bunny, you'll be all grumpy and blaming someone else?
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
Travelinn have this guarantee as well, and offerered a no quibble money back when I complained about one of my stays.
But I would not abuse this system if I had nothing major to complain about.

I have stayed in 4 different Travel lodges in the last 6 months and you wouldn't get me back through the door.
They are the pits (in my opinion).Last time we took the kids and my 9 year old daughter found a draw full of top shelf magazines.
There response was to offer us £20 off our stay.Needless to say I refused point blank until I got a full refund.
So dont just look for the coke can!!!!!!!0 -
Guys,
I've had to delete a fair few posts here. You have to remember that tone is very hard to convey on internet forums especially when making jokes. That said however, putting a smiley in a post does not automatically mean the content is suddenly acceptable.
Back on topic now please

first free coke, now free !!!!!! - who's asking for their money back???Matched Betting and Casino Bagging Target: £3500 (Masters degree course fees)
Matched Betting and Casino Bagging Profit (started 17/01/07): £499.180 -
I am uncomfortable with this.
I have stayed for full price, and I have stayed for the £10 deals.
I stayed at the Marriot once for 3 days-and paid a fair whack for the pleasure and I wasnt happy-so I comlained...but to comlain for the sake of it??? That will see Travelodge pull the plug on the £10 deals.0 -
This is very handy info to know. If used properly. I've stayed there several times and it's been good for the most part. When it was bad I didn't complain as I saw there being no reason as it's usually falling on deaf ears. However now I know if it's not good to complain about whatever bothers me.
I'm not definding the implied use, but will thank the original poster for bring the info to my attention for fair and valid use in the future.... and that's all I have to say about that.0 -
Shame Holiday Inn do not follow the same policy. Some of our stays there have been dreadful. Complaining to them just falls on deaf ears.0
