I didn't know if I had drunk too much and I was just imagining we were getting battered! All seemed surreal! :(

I hate the last few days as well always struggling to afford things. I want to put an end to that, starting next month I hope.

I've not seen the payment a day thread but I'll have a look at it after this. It's worth a go if it's really helping others.

On ebay I sell DVD's, books although they don't seem to sell so well. Think books need to be the celebrity or well known ones. Could try selling old leicester programmes or shirts? I've seen mad things on there that people sell, saw someone sell a cup of tea before, it came with a mug, tea bag and some carton milk and sugar sachet. Mad but people bought it!

I guess the first few months are difficult as you are adjusting to change. Just want to have my wage now so I can start eating into my debt more, being able to use the cashback sites more effectively, like you did with the Bingo site.

I've done as many surveys as I could today, earned a few pounds from it. Could do with planning ahead for the next month.

Actually thats not a bad idea - I used to have all the programmes for every match from 1992 - 2002 but when I went to uni my mum got rid grrr... I've also got a shirt somewhere that is signed by all of the 1997 coca-cola cup winning team including Martin O Neill who was our manager at the time. Could be worth something I guess. LOL at the cup of tea, thats such a good idea! I remeber seeing the imaginary friend one. Maybe I should set up an air guitar business:D

There are so many things that people do on here and they seem to really work, I guess it's just getting into it thats the thing. Nice one with the surveys though they do mount up after a while, although saying that I haven't had many this year so far. Fingers crossed...

That Leicester shirt would make a fortune! Talking of Leicester shirts think your new shirt poll is being messed with by opposition fans, don't expect the choice most Foxes fans want!

Went into work today for a course, got paid for my troubles and got a free lunch as well. Spent £10 though on fuel on the way home. Got two more days of work and then I get paid.

Done a few more surveys etc, every little helps!

Hmm yeah so I've heard about that shirt thing, I get inside info on what goes down at LCFC (hence how I got the autographed shirt many moons ago!) I'm not that keen on the designs myself tbh, they look a bit amateur! Unless of course the real thing might be better than the mock ups they've put on the site! I reckon they'll ask people at the next home match and use that as the main input. Lol fancy putting a poll on an open website though, asking for trouble!

Well done with the surveys! It does all mount up, I'm gonna try and save mine all up till next Christmas!

Nice one I love getting free stuff from work, unfortunately in a school it tends to be dried up sandwiches and ONLY on parents evening!

We put a poll on our site last year for the away kit, you'll soon see in a few weeks time what that does, horrid kit! I'm sure the kit will look much better than the mock up, hardly inspiring on the website!

Been in work the last couple of days and I just went to bed straight after work yesterday, tiring stuff! Don't feel too bad tonight, it's the weekend after all and I'm off work tomorrow :D Running around playing football on a cold, muddy pitch first thing so it won't all be good!

Yesterday I spent £1.58 on drinks, brought all my food into work so didn't spend anything on that. Today however because I as so tired yesterday I hadn't made anything at all so ended up spending £6.40 to keep me going, did get two free coffee's from Starbucks that has just opened. Very much appreciated!

Things are really looking up at work at the moment, getting a lot of praise off the bosses, just hope it leads to something in the near future! I get paid tomorrow as well so I go out and start spending again, sensibly of course! Gonna try get the most out of the cashback sites. This should be the month that I start to make serious inroads into my debt!

I got my transaction details from Capital One as well today and looking into the charges there are £92 in total, not as much as I thought there would be but I'll be putting in my claim very shortly! Fingers crossed it'll be easy enough to get back!

Arrgh you blokes I've never understood the attraction of running round getting all muddy - on a saturday of all times!
That sounds good about work, is there much scope for promotions or anything? And free coffees from starbucks, how'd you wangle that one!?

Maybe if your charges aren't too much they might be more inclined to pay out quickly? I think there is a hold on things being paid out at the minute though, you could probably find out more on the reclaiming thread. I'm not sure whether to do that myself, don't thing I can have had that many charges though so probably not really worth the effort.

hiya Matey! Just read through your diary!

Have you tried keeping a spreadsheet of all your spends etc? And also a tally of your current account?

I've jsut started to do all that and it makes me think twice now about spending. I'm trying to pay off a car loan and CC too, so definitely interested to see how you get on!

At the moment I am selling the house contents on ebay...:D , keeping a spreadsheet and until I get my internel banking back online, phoning daily for a check on my balance!

Anyway....take it easy and Chelsea to win the league! ;)

  • Mud is good for the skin that's what I've heard anyways! The football was cancelled in the end, there was too much mud apparently!

I was working next door to Starbucks last shift so for keeping them sweet and supplying them with change they made us coffees on the house. Working there next shift as well so should be fine with coffees while I'm there :D

I'm hoping they'll just pay me the money, sending the letter off today so will have to see what happens.

Thought this would give me extra time to get my payments done on my credit cards, do the shopping etc. Even though payday is Monday I can always access the money on Saturday, unfortunately not this month so everything I planned to do has been put on hold!

I couldn't even watch Oldham play because I'd budgetted that I'd have the money on saturday. Missed a cracker as well. I went all the way down to Hereford to watch us lose 5-0 and then miss our best performance of the season! Typical!

I did do some shopping at Aldi coming to £81.58 and I owe this money to my grandad so will transfer that today.

I've not tried the daily clicks yet, been really busy with work and I'm trying to figure out OpenOffice, should get round to it today.

Thanks for reading the diary, yeah my mate sent me an excellent spreadsheet over last month. Helps me keep track of what I'm spending, it also gives me a daily budget of what I can spend. So long as I don't go over it each day I'll have money left at the end of the month. Can see where I'm spending far too much, food at work mainly but that shouldn't be as much this month!

I need to get looking around the house for stuff to sell, must be plenty of things around here if I look hard enough!

Ah Chelsea will be lucky if they win it this year! Liiiiiiiiiiverpooooooooooollll for the title! They have to one year don't they? Anyone but United!

Yesterday I had put a fiver in for petrol so I could get home, £3.89 at WHSmiths for a paper and drinks and £3.03 on a meal from Spar.

Today I have been paid! :j Not had my payslip yet but I've got £1,129.31 after taxes and deductions. Going to get on with everything I planned to do Saturday now!

Will update this later once I've done everything I need to today

Much as it pains me to say it it's gonna be Man Utd again isn't it. I'd love Liverpool to do it - always had a soft spot for them since I had a crush on Jamie Redknapp years ago lol.
Ah that's irritating ain't it, my work used to do that where if payday fell on a Sunday sometimes you'd be able to get it on Friday, other times it wouldn't appear till Monday. So annoying! At least you've got it now though. Gutted on missing the match :( always the best ones that you miss. A few years ago I went to watch City and it was about 10 mins to go and we were like 3 nil down. So we decided to chip of early to beat the traffic - big mistake - we scored 4 in the last ten mins and came back to win it!
