I've been so busy today! Since early on I've been tidying this place, washing, ironing, cleaning. I've finally got 5 minutes to myself. I've spent a bit of money today. £26 on 2 standing tickets to watch Oldham play Hereford at the weekend, my mate is paying me £13 for a ticket on saturday. I also cleaned the car inside and out but I needed a big sponge, that set me back £1.49. Looks like new!

I've checked my accounts out today and I've just enough in my main account to pay my final two DD's before I get paid again. Won't be using that account again until I've been paid.

Tomorrow I need to get my haircut so I'm ready for work, also need to buy in some food to take to work as well, need to get 5 days worth to, will try not to spend a fortune!

Think that's it for now, gonna beast myself down at the gym later and then put my feet up for the rest of the evening!
    Keep the Faith!

Well done with doing the housework hehe so satisfying when it's done though! Are you watching the southend/chelsea match, chelsea just equalised  . Don't think leicester are doing much again palace, we are always rubbish against them though I'm not expecting great things! £13 for a ticket isn't bad, hopefully you will do ok! Not gonna get cocky because I will probably jinx our run of good luck!

Couldn't open that link for some reason, I must say it is nice to have my own sapce. When I first moved back from uni I had to go and live with my mum for a while and it was horrible after living on my own for 4 years! Still, think of the savings - everything would be taking far longer if you had to pay rent and all the associated rubbish!

Yeah I'm watching the Chelsea game, Big Phil must be breathing a huge sigh of relief!

Leicester still losing? Time to concentrate on the league, don't want us to overtake you!

I went to uni as well and stayed in halls, miss having my own place, that's my goal out of all this, to be able to get a place of my own and some independence. Hopefully it won't be long.

Guessing you went to Sheffield Hallam...? My sister went there and dropped out after 3 months. I'm doing my masters there now, get to stay in a travelodge in the city centre every couple of months hehe.
Yeah we lost, 2-1 but like you say I'd rather they concentrate on the league!

  • I did yeah, how did you guess that?! :p I stayed about 6 months myself, loved it over there but I wanted to be earning money.

Do the uni pay for you to stay there? Not bad if they do!

Hmm no idea must have been a wild guess!

No, unfortunately not but I get half the cost subsidised by school as doing the course will apparently make me more valuable to other schools so they try to buy me off... ;)

I know the feeling - when I was at uni there were times when I looked at my bank account and just thought why am I actually bothering? Lol mind you there are times when I do that now!

  • That's good of them, tell them it'll take more to get you to stay! :D

Ha yeah it is tough at uni. I went about it all wrong, no job or anything which I don't think helped!

Today I've posted off an ebay item for £2.39, made a few quid on that overall. Went to the gym after with my mate, we like to be competative so it's fair to say we worked hard! :p

I've bought some food in for work, spent £4.92 on that and I'm hoping now I've done that I won't need to spend anything unneccessary at the airport. If I can do that I'll be pretty pleased with myself! Food all ready for tomorrow all I've gotta do now is get there!

Yay :T on getting the food first!!! The thing to do is only take enough money for the drinks you will need, and nothing else. I used to take my purse to school, and even though I had sandwiches in the fridge, a nice jacket spud or bacon sarnie is always more appetising than a soggy sandwich especially when you can smell it mmmm so I used to end up buying it. No money = no spud! lol
Well done on the gym, it is good to go with someone else cuz you kinda feel you have to keep the pace up hehe.

Do you seel much on ebay? I have started selling anything yet but when I do I'm planning to put all the proceeds (along with everything from survey sites/extra work/etc) into one separate account for use on debts ONLY, maybe its worth doing something similar? I just think maybe it'll let me see that I am actually doing something towards reducing the debt - like you my aim is next xmas time to have paid it all off. Kinda like the payment a day/make £10 a day challenges but combined and, well not. IYSWIM

I've not updated this for a bit, been busy at work and I've not had the energy when I've got back.

At work I've spent nothing on anything unneccessary. £3.68 on drinks over the 3 days I was there and £1 on a paper on sunday.

Saturday was an expensive but very good day! Went down to Hereford for the football, (less said about the footy the better!) got £13 off my mate for a ticket I'd bought him but then spent around £20 on the day and then £10 to get a taxi home afterwards, no other way to get back home from where I was.

I sell a few things on ebay but I could do a lot more I think. Yeah I'm planning to use the money I make from ebay and the survey sites into reducing my debt. I did the snowball calculator a few days ago and I'm due to pay it off mid 2011 so I need to speed things up a lot!

I've booked in a couple of days overtime at work for next month as well so that will help me out greatly.

It's only 4 days until payday! Hurry up!

I did think about coming on here to mention that but decided not to be cruel! We are 7 points clear now though :j
Good for you on a cheap weekend and the overtime...lol I hate the last few days before payday! Mine isn't till next Friday:mad: .
You know what I'm thinking of trying, have you seen the payment a day thread? I was a bit sceptical about that at first because I thought well if I pay off odd bits each day I'll end up just leaving myself short at the end of the month. But Flying Friesan who posts on my thread sometimes does it and shes paid loads off, reduced her debt free date by a couple of months I think and its worked for all those other people. Dunno maybe it's worth a try.

What sort of things do you sell? I was gonna start selling stuff but I only seem to have old junk around the house, mainly its books but they don't seem to do well on ebay and all the ones I've got are only going for a penny on amazon lol.

2011 is a long way off but I'm sure you can bring that closer, you are doing really well already, look back at your old posts and look how often you used to write down those silly little spend amounts!
