Yeah I've got finance on it at the moment and it's more than the car is worth. My mate said I could just hand it back and not pay anything more. I'd still need to get another car as well so I don't know if it's right for me at this time. Would be good to save the £120 a month I'm paying on my car though.

Maybe I should leave it a few months yet.

Hmm yeah thats difficult - It would be nice to actually have the extra cash but but having to get hold of another car is the thing. Maybe see if you can save a bit up first, then when you have enough to get a little run about (but not one that will fall apart in 5 mins!) give the other car back and save yourself the cash? Have a look on autotrader to see whats around.
Thats the problem with having a car - so bloody expensive but I once you've had one its so hard to do without! COuldn't imagine not having mine!

Yeah I know what you mean, I don't think I could go back to going on buses everywhere. Love driving around so I've got to have a car!

My Sky + Box decided it wasn't playing today, was on standby permanently and I couldn't switch it on whatever I did, phoned Sky up and did a few things with them but still nothing, looks like the box may need to be replaced/fixed and because it's over a year old and no cover it'll cost me £65 for a repair guy to come out. Not like I have the money for that! They've put it on my DD next month so even though I'm not best pleased to be paying it at least I'll be able to afford it! Contract runs out in July so will look at doing something about it then.

Sorted the problems with Tesco Clubcard so I should be getting some vouchers in the post now all being well!

Also phoned Capital One to see if they were willing to reduce their interest rate that I'm paying. They said they couldn't do anything about but will send me a form to fill in about my expenditure. Sounds a bit of a fob off so I've requested my transaction details from since I've had my account open. I'll check all the charges they've made to me and start reclaiming the money back. They didn't even ask me for the £10 that these companies usually ask for. :D

Lastly done a bit of browsing on Quidco and Topcashback and added to the totals a little more. Just got to remember to use them when I'm buying stuff, should save/earn me a fortune!

havei you used the imoneymanager templates to write to cc companies like capital one?

I did my five cards on 1st Jan (new yrs res and all that) which gave them my full financial statement and a breakdown of what I could offer each creditor including them. My min mthly payment was £253.00 and they have accepted £150.00 as well as freezing charges and interest. They I went through to their special support unit who were fairly helpful. I had heard horror stories about them but they were OK with me. Just waiting for the other 4 to confirm agreements.

I've not used the templates no. It worries me if they refuse and start getting nasty with me.

My debts aren't too bad in relation to other people on this site and I feel I don't deserve such treatment as for them to reduce my debt. I can afford to pay the debts back I just need to be more disciplined.

Well I was up very early this morning to help out to remove the covers protecting the pitch, took me ages to de-ice the car so it wasn't looking promising then!

Took us a couple of hours to get all the covers off the pitch but sadly the frost was too much and all our hard work resulted in nothing, the game was called off for a frozen pitch. :(

The game is due to be played monday night so not long to wait! Got a free ticket for the game for my efforts so can't complain too much. :j

Just realised I'm back in work on friday, been off since the start of the year so need to start thinking about getting organised and not waste my money like I have done in the past!

Got up early again and got myself down to the gym, really didn't fancy it today so pleased I got down there, worked up an appetite there and then went to Sainsbury's with my mate for a breakfast there costing £5.59.

I spent £7.30 at Tesco last night, essential stuff only of course bread, cheese, beer :D

The Sky engineer turned up this morning as well, the old box had given up so I've had a new box installed and it's all working fine again :)

Went to the pub this afternoon with some friends and watched the footy, bought a round in for £7.20:beer: also put a couple of quid in to guess the first scorer, I didn't win, I never win! One day though!

Got an item on ebay ending shortly and it's looking promising, hopefully should bring some money in.

Think that's it for today, I'm tired, just going to relax and enjoy my night! :o

:T yay on the sky being sorted, and getting down the gym! I'm terrible for having all these good intentions but then not actually going...

Lol I think it is just me and you commenting on each others diaries, never mind eh! I find it quite helpful just to get stuff written down though, it helps me keep my scatterbrain in order!

Have you still got you old sky box or did they take it away, I'm sure I've seen some on ebay for spares or repairs, might be worth a try?

Do you sell much on ebay? What kind of things have you sold? I always think I have something to list but when I look to see what similar stuff is going for, there is always a huge long list of items with no bids:rolleyes: .

Thats wicked with the free football tickets too, worth getting frostbite for hehe! It's supposed to be milder this week which will make a nice change!

    xx

  • Yeah I do think it's just you and me commenting on each others threads, it's all good though, keeps me motivated, godd to know someone is reading and helping!

But if anyone feels I could be doing something else or if I'm slipping from my goal feel free to post your suggestions or give me a kick up the !!!! if you like! I can take it!

I haven't got the old Sky box the engineer took it away with him so can't sell that on. :(

I sell a bit on ebay but I'm not constantly on it. I find that branded clothing sells good on there, not tried it myself but possibly going to charity shops and looking for good bargains on branded items might make yourself a bit of money on ebay. Collectibles sell well as well.

I sold a bottle of ck one summer fragrance on there yesterday, can buy it dirt cheap at the airport, got it for £12 and it sold for £13.20, believe ebay take a percentage of that as well so doubt I've made any money on it in the end!

The free ticket was well worth it by the way. 2-1 victory and up to 3rd! Looking for free tickets from now on, we don't seem to win when I pay to go! :D

I forgot to put down yesterday that I put in £20 of petrol in the car, should last me until I get paid next.

Today I paid £15 for a coach ticket to watch Oldham play Hereford, mates organised it so it should be a lot of fun, a bit messy too perhaps! :)

  • I had a NSD today! :j Happy with that but I'm going to need a few more of those before payday, luckily it's not too far off now.

Got a lot to do before I go back to work, hoping to get most if not all of it done tomorrow, got a busy day ahead!

My sent me a link earlier for a house http://http://www.houseladder.co.uk/Property_For_Rent/242158 I wouldn't mind it at all, quite cheap for a rental property. If only! I want my own place!
