            Hello there :-)
How you doing after your injury?
Not too much spent so thats OK, doh @ locking your keys in the car that's the sort of thing I'd do, although I've never actually done it luckily enough! Bit !!!! about the tyre though, still I guess if it needs doing it needs doing.
With the smellies, speaking from b/f experience here but he tends to use a mixture of wilkinsons and superdrug for his stuff. He's quite a basic kinda guy though, just hair gel and deoderant really and he uses the basics. Wilko's have some good stuff actually.
If you are into brands, I like http://www.cheapsmells.com/ (good selection of perfume and aftershave too) and ebay - I get all my expensive hair stuff and make up from those two. For aftershave, try http://www.perfume-parlour.co.uk/ I bought some for myself and got the blokes Cool Waters to compare it as bf has got the real one. Spot one couldn't tell the difference.
Don;t blame you on the clicks - I did a bit of a round up and have about a tenner in each one, its been like 2 months... worth it??? I do have about £170 pending in TopCashBack though I just want some of it to clear lol!

My finger isn't too bad now thanks, still a little sore and swollen but I'll live!
 Payday has arrived! :j :T
After tax and deductions I was left with £1,108.09, that on top of £44.84 that was left over from last month. Things are looking strong for the month ahead (touches wood).
So far my broadband payment to O2 of £7.34 went through. I have also paid £10 each to my debit accounts with NatWest, Barclays and Alliance & Leicester. I made an £80 payment to MBNA and £150 to Capital One.
I've sorted my tyre problem out today as well, there was a nail in it which was causing it to deflate slowly. It's now been taken out and repaired only costing £8.
I went to PC World for a browse and found that they sold a universal power packs in store. The one they had cost £60 so I went home, ordered it online through Topcashback so I'll get 2.5% back eventually. Happy to say I'm using my laptop now and it's working well.
I've put £20 worth of petrol in the car and pumped the tyres up to the correct pressures, hopefully will make the petrol last longer. I did the shopping as well spending £72.83 at Aldi and £29 at Tesco.
It's been a busy day! Just got everything ready for work, 4am start tomorrow and for the next 3 days! Speaking of work I nearly lost £100 yesterday, not a nice feeling at all especially as it comes out of your bonuses! Thankfully one of the companies that we give change out to was £100 up and gave it back. That could have been a very costly mistake!
Tomorrow the payments for the car finance (£119.78) and car insurance (£89.25) are due. On the 2nd my O2 mobile bill (£42.71) and gym membership (£26.95) goes out and the Sky subscription (£37.50) is due on the 4th. Last of all the laptop payment (£19.75) is due on the 17th.
Thinks that's it for now, need to really go for it this month. Bring my down even more.Keep the Faith!0

Hello how are you? You bloody nutcase 4am starts??? I did that for a while when I was at uni when i did a cleaning job for a bit - sometimes I wouldn't bother going to bed lol!
Glad your tyre didn't cost too much to fix, the thing with car problems wondering how much you are gonna get charged for something that seems minor but you just don't know - my b/f's car has a funny thing where the demister switch operates the rear headlights - he needs to get it looked at at some point but it could be a little swapover job or something seriously wrong with the electrics
You seem like you've made a good start with getting stuff paid this month, once all your dd's come out you can really get going for it!

I'm not too bad thanks, finally get a day off from work! Got a couple of days off get things sorted again. I've really had a tough time finding some motivation recently. I've still been bring my debt down but I've been a little lax of late! My cat had to be put down on friday as well she had a reoccurance of her problems last month and there was nothing the vet could do. Such a shock because she seemed like such a healthy cat.
Moneywise I'm ok until payday but I need to make plans for next month, I need to get a few things in order.
I've had a bit of an idea. I work as a Foreign Exchange Cashier at the airport, why can't I use that as an opportunity to make a bit of extra money for myself?
I get an allowance to buy £500 at the buy rate and £2,500 at the spot rate (the average of the sell and buy rates) I could still get people a very good rate but I could make a bit of money out of it as well.
Not sure though with it being currency if this would be allowed, there are a lot of rules and regulations and I wouldn't want to be seen to be breaking them.
If anyone has any info on this that would be great.Keep the Faith!0

Aw your poor cat hope you are ok it's horrible when you have to lose a pet like that. Mine had to be pts a few years ago because he had breathing problems, they tried all sorts of medication but it just kept happening. I guess eventually it gets kinder to let then go. Horrible though when they don't seem that ill. hope you are ok it's horrible when you have to lose a pet like that. I'm not sure about the currency thing, it sounds like a good idea but I'm not sure about the legal side of things, maybe you could ask the question on one of the other boards? Maybe up your income or the moneysavers arms to get a more general response. There might be implications in terms of setting yourself up as a business, so to speak. Does it say anything in your contract?
Glad to hear you're still getting on top of the debt though: keep up the good work!

Has it been that long?! Not updated this for a while but I have still been committed in reducing my debt.
I've just paid off my Alliance & Leicester account. I've had numerous problems with them in the past so I've made it my mission to get rid of this account first. I should have paid off the overdraft now and I will ring them tomorrow to hopefully close it. Good riddance!
Next up is the Capital One Credit Card. Currently at £882.46 but I'll be getting £100 from my mum for buying airline tickets for her last month. I'll be another £100 later on in the month as well so I'll use that on this debt. I'm aiming to pay this off by July this year.
My Car Insurance is due up early May and by using this guide I've reduced my yearly payments from £1,200 to £780. I've gone with the same insurers as last year and managed to drop them down £100 on what they originally quoted. I don't pay any extra for paying monthly and I don't have to pay a huge deposit. It's saving me about £25 a month :T
Think that's it, had a bit of a drama on the motorway yesterday morning, was cleaning up the front windscreen when the wiper blade snapped and was left hanging on the arm! There was a nasty scraping noise on the window but thankfully no damage apart from the wiper blade! That will need to be replaced tomorrow.
Got a break in La Coruna, Spain to look forward to next month, everything has been done on the cheap so far. can't wait to get there and have fun!Keep the Faith!0

Great News! I've closed my A&L Account! :j:beer::dance:
Really happy not to be doing business with them anymore. Now to tackle Capital One. At last it feels like I'm making progress!Keep the Faith!0

Aw lucky you off on your jollies! Hope the weather is nice for you, I'm sure it will be!
Well done on getting rid of A&L as well. Must feel really nice and final to be able to close the account down and know that thats the end of it. I paid off my barclaycard a while ago but am probably going to keep it open because it has the low balance rate. Thats silly really I suppose, doesn;t exactly sound committed to a debt free life, but there are always emergencies!
That must have been a bit scary on the motorway til you realised what it was!
Hope things are going well anyway

I've had a pretty bad month with my finances, had a great month otherwise but I'm now rather skint until payday.
I've been on holiday to Spain which ended up costing a bit more than I thought it would, amazing time but need to plan my hols a bit better. Also got stung after watching Oasis the other week. Ended up losing my mates after the gig and had to get a taxi costing me £50! Robbed. It has left me pretty short and I need to start being careful with my money again! I want to start planning ahead for the next month, make sure I'm not going to be spending too much, I want to start a meal plan as well to save myself some more money, got into the habit of spending money at work again and that's not good!Keep the Faith!0
