It has a penguin face with a sticky-out beak and the "hat" is shaped like a stripy bobble hat.
Ooh, google is my friend. He looks like this http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.205-8963.aspx0 -
Hello all
Today I braved the Boxing Day crowds and the "Special Service" on the local buses (Code for "A bus will turn up whenever we want it to, and there's nothing you can do about it) and went to the sales.
For once, I haven't come home with clothes I don't need, and I have bought a lot of useful stuff for the year ahead. My other half has done well out of my trip, as there were things I wanted to get him pre-Christmas, but felt that they were overpriced, so have bought them today!
So, here are my bargains!
- Newcastle United calendar was £7.99 now £3.99
- Christmas cards were £3 now £1
- Candles (9x - should be able to split the set for Christmas presents) were £8 now £3
- Bath stuff sets x 2 were £4 each, now £2
- Trousers for t'other half, were £38, now £15
- 2 x Accessorize christmas ornaments, were £2.50 each, now £1.25
- Earrings, were £5, now £2.50
- Earrings, were £8, now £4
- Earrings, were £6, now £3
- DVD of The Orphanage, reduced to £6 (Can't remember how much it was before!)
- Wallet for t'other half, half price at £5.87
- Wrapping paper, half price at £2.44
- Gift tags, half price at 73p
- Half price Boots gifts - jewellary box filled with smellies for £5.87 and wee purse with smellies for £2.93
- Superdrug sale - not as good as people said it would be tbh. I did get three Cosmopolitan make-up brushes sets for £1.99 each, and they were 3 for 2!!

you make me want to shop! fab bargains! i have so far resisted the sales (more due to laziness than virtue) but may see what bits i can pick up in the week, if there's anything left! xxMortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

Hello
Hope everyone is having a lovely lazy Sunday. I am going to be doing some serious cleaning later on,so won't be too lazy for me! It's not going to be comfortable as I have a sore arm (Knackered it carrying some heavy Boots sets from the sales:rotfl:Only I could develop a sporting injury in the sales!)
I feel like I haven't been very DFW in the last couple of days, even though I haven't put any of my shopping on credit cards and have used budgeted funds. That being said I have spent:
£63.35 on items for birthdays/Christmas for 2009. As I am now an official DFW nerd, I added up the RRPs on all these items (As they were selling for before Christmas) and the total was £151.98, meaning that I saved £88.63!! It just goes to show the mark-up on these items!
My total for stuff bought for me and t'other half stands at £172.49. all of which was paid for with my birthday/Christmas money. The RRPs on these items were around £475, meaning a saving of £302.51!! I think the reason that saving is so high is because I bought myself the West Wing boxset (All 7 series.Squee!!) for £50 and the RRP is £200
Actually, they are quite good figures! Maybe I'm a better DFW than I thought! I still have about £27 left of my Christmas money to spend on me, but there is nothing else I want, apart from some steak knives, but I will look for them the next time I go to Tesco. I also want a slow cooker, but the thought of carrying it from town was too much from me! When my best friend returns from her Christmas visit home I will[strike]beg pathetically [/strike] ask her if she would mind taking me to Tesco for the one I saw half price there!
Ok, enough chat from me, cats are going mad so it's time to feed them!

Morning!
Fab savings on all your sale shopping, I'm impressed!!
I went to Next yesterday and bought a few lovely bits, saw loads of things I could have got as pressies for next yr but I didn't buy - wish I had now, the drawer under my bed could have been filled up!
I'm having a very lazy sunday - my girls at their dad's, so I've slept til 10 and now in bed with my laptop and a coffee. Need to tidy the house so bed is a far more appealing prospect at the moment!!;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Did you have a nice Christmas? Enjoy your lazy day, and never apologise for it!0 -
Glad to hear you have been having fun spending with budgeted money
I had a spending spree in the Next sale (both online as I had a VIP slot and in the shop). I'm made up as I have new shoes and boots (both needed) and lots of new clothes for baby in 6-9 and 9-12 months. Will save me quite a bit in the future LOL.

Afternoon guys,
Well done on the fab sales shopping! I popped in today but didn't get much done as wore the 'wrong shopping shoes' Silly me!! I thought I would dress up and go smart and then about half hour into walking around in my heels my feet were killing me. So much so that I gave up and hopped on the train home. Mind you still managed to pick up a bargain pair of boots and a new winter coat (have needed one for two years!)...... all spent with vouchers and money I got for Christmas!!
Hope everyone is having a chilled day - i'm trying my hardest to get my backside off the couch and clear up....it's so hard though......xxNo spend days for March = 3Money to joint savings 2009 = £100.00Money to personal savings 2009 = £0.000
