What time do you have Christmas Dinner?
Comments
-
me and mum were talking about this today, because we celebrate Christmas together and eat together we (me and my kids and my parents) eat at about 1.30pm, but my mum was in the hairdressers the other day and the hairdresser said that last year they had eaten their Christmas meal at 11pm! I couldn't believe it, but mum said that the woman says they usually eat at 8pm on Christmas Day evening but they had a lot of visitors last Christmas and ate really late. If that were me i wouldn't have bothered eating a Christmas Dinner as it was practically Boxing Day by the time they ate their meal! (and also sleeping on a full tummy is't such a good idea). Barking mad.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

We eat when everyone gets there (i.e, when Grandad toddles back from the legion :rotfl) but its normally around 3pm. This year it's not till 5pm so I think we will have a nice champagne breakfast to keep us going

Only me OH and 2 ds (9 and 5), so we eat about 1.30ish. When we finish and the washing up has been done - usually about 4, I go on strike and dont cook any more until the day after boxing day, as we are just picking and having leftovers, until the turkey runs out. Also means that I can have a couple of drinks, before having to entertain the MIL (we don't get on) for a few hours on Christmas afternoon.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000

Well we aim for 3 but in reality its never on the table til about 4ish normally because we either have visitors who arrive just as were putting it on
OR
have a roast potato crisis where they refuse to cook
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
We eat for between 12 and 1pm, we don't have breakfast so usually ready for it by then. There's just the 3 of us and I'm a veggie so it's not as if turkey will be huge and need cooking for hours and hours though.0

it will be about 12ish here. my 2 kids are 1 and 3 and thats when they normally have dinner. they are pretty much set in a routine and it works well for us. their dad is working this year (he works offshore) so its will be just me and the 2 of them so i'm not doing the whole huge christmas dinner thing. we're having roast chicken, gravy, carrots, sprouts and skirlie (we're scottish and hate stuffing) then i have a mini christmas pudding for me and the kids will have ice cream. i will have crackers but thats about it. nothing overly fancy or most importantly stressfull. they can spent most of the day with me putting together and playing with their toys0

Toys First, then eat Between 2pm and 3pm here. Then it's time to veg out watching all the new films the kids get.

We usually have Christmas dinner between 3 - 4pm. That is because we don't have breakfast until about 11am which is the full works. Mind you it may be a bit earlier this year as I am not doing a Turkey, Instead I am doing the 3 bird roast from Aldi and that isn't going to be as hard to cook as the huge Turkey I usually do.
I also go on strike as far as cooking is concerned then as we just pick and eat junk food for the next few days. The kids will be off out with their mates so I don't like to keep them to strict meal times
