I'm officially an 'old mum', I'm 32 and I have just found out my niece is expecting too  she's 19...
Was chatting to my friend about it (she's 32 and just had her first too) and we reckon that the young mums can probably cope better than we can because they have not had time to become stubborn and fixed in their ways like we have :rotfl:
when I was about seven I didn't say a word, stayed completely silent for a full 48hrs, Can't remember what my mum/dad/teacher did but I must have been p*d off with them! :rotfl:0 -
Evans is good for bras too ladies - my cup size has not changed (I was an E cup before anyway) but I have gone up from a 34 back (36 sometimes) to a 42:eek:
I have just found out that the wife of one of the guys I went to Uni with has started a website for Tall pregnant ladies (after spotting the niche in the market when she was pregnant last year) - I haven't looked at the website yet and it is probably not cheap because I know she is having to import a lot of her stock but I thought I would post a link anyway

I always think Leanne looks better in her face when she is pregnant.
Thanks for all the advice re knickers. There is a bit of a sale on the mothercare site ladies so that is what has sparked my questions. I am terrible at spending money on myself and always ask hubby, to which he looks at me and says 'buy what you like, i dont care'. bless him. maybe he wont think like that when bubs is here and i am constantly spending money and not workingi have no trouble spending money on others, but just not myself.
They are hidig carla's HUGE bump (and boobs) quite unsuccessfully! it makes me n hubby chuckle how blatant it is!0 -
Stubborn? I get less stuborn as I get old.

i am extremely stubborn (the trait of a taurus) and hubby is worried bubs will be the same, oh and the moodiness too0 -

Poppy was due when I was 33 but waited until I was 34!.
I was a party animal (yes really!) in my early twenties until I met my lovely DH :smileyhea

I always knew I'd have babies in my twenties, although the plan was 1st baby at about 25 once we were married, then next one to arrive 2.5ish yrs later.
we got a bit over excited and took a risk and Chris was the result so we then decided that the age gap was still important so 2nd baby is also coming when we are younger than planned too.
Downsides are we have less money, not as nice house as we prob would have if we'd waited, and grandparents are all still working fulltime so no childminding from them.
Upsides are we hadn't got settled in a "selfish" lifestyle, we can cope pretty well with lack of sleep, running round playing etc0 -
To be honest I am 5' 9" and most of the trousers are too long for me. I need a 34" leg and some of her styles go up to 37" :T
I may well order some tops though - I reckon I am going to need something longer if my bump continues to grow!
Actually, I also meant to mention that if anyone else is doing the 'layered look' (also known as 'hide the cleavage because the maternity designers seem to think I want my boobicles on show') then New Look have some long vest tops that will go over a huge bump like mine with more left to spare than the average maternity vest...and they are £4. I bought 1 size up from 'normal' and it fits fine.
Off to look for a pic...

Tine, when I was having DD I couldn't go shopping without feeling like I was going to pass out... It got so bad that I felt it happening as soon as I walked through the door... I mostly went out with my Mum and she got used to me disapearing outside for air... To do my supermarket shop I would walk round slowly leaning on the trolley sipping bottles of water then sit down on the floor at the end while someone packed my bags... It was a nightmare and I was so scared it might not go away once the baby was born... I don't think it was linked to blood pressure because mine has never been low...
While we're admitting ages... 29 seems to be a good age to have babies at the moment doesn't it!
FG, I wear a lot of clothes that are loose around the tumy area anyway and don't think I will need to get much maternity wear... I got this top for my brothers wedding next year but hopefully will still fit in my own clothes (incidentally the top is huuuuuuuge and I could of probably got a size smaller than normal)A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Tine, I missed your post before, I'm a fainter occasionally anyway but I get worse with preg lots of reasons can make me go; low blood sugar, hot, anemia, my low blood pressure, being stood for a while. take your pick of those as you were stood, waiting to eat and hot0
