cause of a silly irrational fear that it would be my luck that my labour would start early, even though i know that is not it's purpose :D

Do I really need to wear nighties when I'm in hospital, or can I wear pajamas? Obviously nightie is essential for 'real' labour, but can't I wear jammies before, and immediately after?

Hmmmm....do i take offence to this and run and hide :confused::confused:
  • My jaffa cakes were an incy wincy bit out of date sami - that's why I needed to eat 8 of them ;)

I didn't buy a base - hubby is going to take the cars to halfords or mothercare and get them to fit them for us. I have a civic and I am not sure if I need the Isofix or the Easyfix. Hubby has a lexus which def takes the Isofix but he would rather have the base fitted properly.

To be honest, if he wants to take the lead on this then I am not bothered about whether it will cost a couple of extra pounds or not.

I did FG :D Not a nightie person at all... I like to have my lower regions covered...

Still have the nightie I was wearing in the birth pool when Aimee was born... Might use it for No2 Aswell...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I'm firmly a pajama person. Now I just need to find somewhere that sells cheap but ridiculously big pajamas! How much bigger than normal should I go for?

AF - don't be scared, it doesn't bring on labour, just (supposedly) helps your uterus prepare and make your contractions, esp the second stage of labour, more effective.

MFD - I told you you would like it - Although i'm finding 4 cups a day a bit hard going!!!! Oh and it'll be the jaffa cakes that have perked you up :D

elle - Although I normally LOVE john lewis, the vests aren't great as the envelope necks stretch far too much too quickly. Tesco are cheap and they are nice quality (the plain white ones) in both vests (3 for £1.75) and baby grows (3 for £2.75 i think).

I also bought a set of 3 from next which feel lovely, but they were £12 ior £15 I think.

Feelie, I plan on wearing PJ's after the birth in general (i'm going to be at home), but it's worth having a nighty or big t-shirt in case you are very sore below or have to have a c-section as the PJ's would be over the cut, which would be ouchy! plus someone on here said it was easier to be checked by people when you have a nighty on!!!
