Ooo - and another tip on my list is to buy some sterilising bags 'just in case' for when you are visiting/travelling etc. I got some reduced in tescos before christmas.

okay, must now look at sterilising bags :D

i need to update my list of 'what is left to get'

I might get something in newborn but definitely won't get anything tiny baby... Aimee was nearly 9lb born and wore newborn for a whole 2 weeks!

The trouble with buying things 'just in case' is that you feel like you're wasting it if you don't use it... Especially if it wasn't cheap (Or you're tight like me) I wouldn't recomment buying bottles or formula if you are determined to breastfeed as they might undermine your effort... Sometimes it's just to easy to reach for the bottle if it's there.... I'm sure I would of given up a dozen times over if I'd of had formula to fall back on... But I didn't....
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Hey guys. Re clothes for bubba....my sis had a load of 0-3 months stuff with her at the hospital and her son was only 5lb something and everything was too big, so I had to run around town like a headless chicken buying some earlyborn stuff, as her OH didn't want to leave my sis. So maybe buy just a couple of earlyborn outfits just in case. She was 2 weeks late as well!

not sure i will have a bubs as small as that, but will look at a few newborn things now just in case.

Unless Bubba does come VERY soon there is no chance he is going to be a little baby - I am getting seriously concerned about my ability to touch my foof by the time I go into labour :o :rotfl:

You'd be surprised, I know of several friends that were HUGE, but had little babies...a lot of water/fluid in there apparently.

It would be Diet Coke if it was me. :rotfl:

AF - I love how you say "I'm only 5'6"" :rotfl: I'm considered tall in my family at 5'3" :D my hubby is 6'2" so you could have a tall one in there ;) as ut both taller than us!
If you BF you could easily "make do" with cold water sterilising, all you need for that is a tupperware bowl/box and a bottle of milton

I am sure you could get a couple of dirt cheap babygrows for earlyborn.

Any places that are particularly good or bad for the basics - babygrows/sleepsuits etc?
  • Krystal - I'm with you! If by some miracle Bubba is tiny then the family can be made to feel useful by running around buying early stuff :rotfl:

Of course I am correct, I am the most knowledgable person I know that hasn't been pregnant or had a baby before. :A:rotfl:
