sorry i haven't been on the pregnancy thread much lately :) I don't know if I am pregnancied out or what it is but just haven't had the energy recently :) I've been spending more time back on the DFW board as we have had a rush of people there again - no doubt will have more as the next lot of paychecks go out and people realise they can't meet their financial commitments :)
Also had bit of a carp time - the shower is leaking so that's a house insurance claim and not a tiny excess... wouldn't mind too much but they won't tell us how much it's likely to cost as it depends on the cause of the leak! If it's wear and tear (the house is 4 years old!!!!)then they won't cover it but will pay for a plumber to do investigative work but not to fix it... great... and 15 other "if this we will pay, if that we won't"... thanks... real helpful!
We also need a new fridge freezer as ours has either a broken fan or themostat... it's alledgedly frost free - yet at least every month I have to remove 3 to 4 cm thick sheet of ice from the bottom of it and the stuff in there has frost all over it... and I'm not sure it's keeping the right temperature and I can't deal with having a fridgefreezer break on my when baby is actually here... that would probably freak me more than no washing machine... at least if it was a washing machine I have great neighbours who'd let me use theirs - a fridge and freezer is a bit more of an issue...

And been feeling blooming hormonal - was talking to DH on msn about the shower thing and just burst into tears... Hohum - I will get over it...

Mrs T, sorry your having troubles, just to say, Our shower leaked through to downstairs last year and onto fuse box, the electrician we got thought the house ins wouldnt but should pay for a new unit cos ours was very very old so he did a quote and just slightly exagerrated the water damage.

It didnt really help him other than he got no quibble work and we have had him back twice on other jobs now......know any plumbers like that?? I figure we pay so much every year AND to claim that if you have to claim it should be paying for it all.

  • Candice - I don't know very much but maternity pay is 90% of salary for the first 6 weeks and then £117 for the next 33(?) weeks - this goes up to £123.06 in april!
