mfd - is centile not just a shortened form of percentile?

glad that all the nappies are arriving :D I've managed to pack them into one small box and they fit nicely in the cupboard.

Baby had a wriggly morning MrsT, but a quiet afternoon (thank goodness) I have a well established pattern now and baby likes to be active most days, but does have a 'rest' day once a week or so when it's obviously tired itself out! oh and when I say 'rest' I mean only a thousand or so movements in 24hrs instead of a billion

I am re-reading several of the books I read in early pg now - esp the bits on baby arriving and the first few days. Not sure that's such a good idea.....

Just looking into life assurance. What would be a rough estimate for childcare costs for one baby? From 6 months to 11 years, childminder, 50 hours a week? Just a rough guess, no idea how much these things cost!

  • Yep - the 3 lines are noted as being the 50th centile (middle) 90th centile (top) and 10th centile (bottom).

I know that centile has a proper statistical meaning (as far as I remember it is about excluding extremeties from your measurement sample) but used in this sense I am finding it a little confusing.

AF - right on which line??

This baby is exactly in the middle in all the growth charts, apart from femur length which is off the scale! How tall is this baby going to be?!

Do you have to factor in inflation??

Hmm, I don't know. Just looking at fixed sum pay out type thingies. Hard to put a price on how much I'm worth! £100,000 is £8 a month.
