It's alright.. we'll let you stay - you don't have to be pregnant to be here!! ;)
  • Lol at your pregnancy fancy dress ideas - the first thought that popped into my mind was Mr Greedy!!! That's because my bump is so huge though!

We went to a 50th birthday party last night with all my hubbys family and for the first time I didn't get 'oh my god, you are massive' but lots of '6 weeks to go, are you fed up with it all?' which I guess is better

And lots of women asking me if I was scared / worried about the birth. I have to say I'm not really - just excited about the thought of bubba being here :j

Edit - SB  thinking about another already!! You were so definite that Jamie would be your last...is it just this thread that you are addicted to? :rotfl:

If I say I want another when Bubba is 3 weeks old please report me to the funny farm!!

Whilst you're here SB - I treated myself to a growbag egg on Friday and I am quite surprised by how cool the 'yellow' temperature is. Do you stick by yours and were you quite surprised when you first got it?

Right.. I'm having a searching for a travel system session..

I want one where the car seat clips on to just the frame (like this: http://www.silvercross.co.uk/images/library/fe8fd472-.jpg, the Linear one), not one where the cat seat sits in the rest of the buggy (like this: http://www.kiddicare.com/wcsstore/ConsumerDirect/images/catalog/KC11834/KC11834-alt2_S.jpg), and it must have four wheels.

    Any suggestions? :)

Just wait until you meet that gorgeous little boy of yours! :A

No, I just use it as a visual guide really and only get alarmed when it goes blue  (which has only happened once when I had the window open to air the room!). I was quite surprised when we got it as its not something you need to think about pre-babe but I just use my own judgement now.

PS: what other goodies did you buy?! :D

  • Elle - I think you need to make the most of your enthusiastic OH and go and try some out. If you go with ideas in your mind it is helpful but until you have a fiddle with it in the flesh you won't know if you like it or not.

We were set on a quinny buzz but when we actually got our hands on one we both hated it (well - hated may be a bit strong but you know what I mean).

Once you have found the right one for you, you can put all your bargain hunter canny into finding it at the best price :D

  • We have the egg in the living room at the moment so it is a regular conversation piece ;):D Even DSS said to his dad earlier 'you shouldn't be cold - the egg is yellow...that's best for Bubba' :rotfl:

I bought a gorgeous M&P changing mat which should have been £25 and was £13 (still extortionate I know) lots of blankets and sheets and a mobile and a bumper (I know, I know!) and I have ordered the pram, car seat and moses basket.

I am the baby shopping queen :j :j

I've got a fancy dress 21st party to go to on Valentines Night, so can anyone think of a pregnant or fat bird and who is a film/tv character?  :rotfl:

What about the girl from Gimme Gimme Gimme? You'd need an orange wig and tarty clothes.

Or just wear a nice long dress and say you're an opera singer! They are mostly fat!
