    Has anyone used this doppler?

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fetal-Doppler-Heartbeat-Monitor_W0QQitemZ260344083756QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Baby_Maternity_Pregnancy_MJ?hash=item260344083756&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72:1298|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318

It looks OK but have never known anyone to use this one before.

My DD wants to hear her baby brother or sister, so I thought I might give it a go !!!

I have the Angelsounds doppler. Its supposed to be one of the better ones. I bought mine from ebay. Obviously I havent tried any other but I have had mine since about 16 weeks and could hear baby's heart beat and kicking. I can feel baby now more regularly but love hearing and feeling kicks at the same time.

It is so soothing just to hear my little one bobbing about in there. Only once did I not find the heartbeat but that was at 6:00pm and Beanie likes to be active from about 8:00pm till the early hours, so he/she must have been wedged somewhere having a snooze. Beanie is still very low down but I tend to find him/her in the same sort of place most times.

I'm 13+4 today and found the heartbeat almost straightaway last night with the Angelsounds one :)

    hmm....how did i miss those then :confused::confused:

i have £20 worth of vouchers in boots too.

okay, what about these medical sets i see. do you ladies recommend them.
the ones with the nose / ear things, thermometer, scissors etc.

as no-one else really replied I will :D
Don't waste your money on one of those sets all you need is to buy nurophen's version of calpol it comes with a syringe thing that you can just wash and then use for any liquid medicine, those nose things are gross IMHO I don't see why you would need one a warm damp flannel is fine for cleaning a blocked nose.
buy the ordinary mini nail clippers for triming nails, and get a decent digital ear thermometer, I've got this one now but have tried about 8 before I decided it was the best and its had really good reviews (I didn't pay that for it though )

I also recommend the philips bath/room thermometer as all the other non-digital bath thermom's I've had went moldy really quickly

Another question, has anyone spotted any deep colour baby clothes on thier travels? Everything I've seen is white or pale blue! Ideally I want something dark or darkish - blue or red. Any ideas?
I think it'll be hard for newborm stuff but I think the older bit starts at 3-6mths but I'd try next or asda you can deff get deep coloured sleepsuits in newborn but not sure about other stuff.
vertbedut (sp?) has lovely clothes and quite often give good vouchers but without vouchers is quite expensive

Its funny you should ask that, as I was thinking about them yesterday and remembered they were only £10.00 in asda, when I popped in yesterday I asked at customer services and I was told that that event is only once a year around September / October time. They have them for £20.00 instead of £25.00 in Babies r us at the momentand thats the cheapest I have seen them otherplaces stock them for £30.00

Failing that you could just but either a baby bath box or a nice vanity case and fill it with all the bits you need.
I personally wouldn't bother waste of space IMHO we only had 1 or 2 bottles for bath and then everything else was on the shelf under changing matt, we got the cheap changing table from Ikea thats £15 as could afford one of the other ones that are about £70+ I'm still using it now but am looking for a replacement now for bubs just coz we have the money to get a prettier one now

Sounds like a plan to me ;)
I was thinking of getting one but this one moves so much I find that reassuring enough and can't think why I wanted one now :p
