the doctor said i must be somewhere between 4.5-5.5 weeks, as he could see bubs, but the heartbeat wasnt there yet, but i will get my dates at the next scan

and they'll prob change the date at your 12wk scan as early scans aren't very accurate :rotfl:you'll never be able to remember when your due after all the to-ing and fro-ing  they said at my 6wk one I was measuring as 5wks but I knew I wasn't more than 2 days out with my dates and sure enough at my 12wk one they said I was spot on for 12wks as I was 12+0 on the day of my scan by my dates :D

Does anyone else get headaches with sickness? Each time I've actually been sick I've had a headache which gets progressively worse, almost like a warning sign, then it goes away once I'm sick.. Very odd

not me Elle, does sound odd!

I've just read that John Travolta's son has died :( he was only 16 and had a very scary sounding disease when he was a toddler http://kidshealth.org/parent/medical/heart/kawasaki.html
I'd never heard of it until now

    Hey ladies!
I'm exhausted today. Went to my mate's 40th last night. It was an 80s party so we all dressed up and Oh was YUMMY as adam Ant! Mmm. He will have to wear the outfit again methinks...

Today we skipped church to lie in and have been tidying the messy house as I start my new job tomorrow.

we were also supposed to be getting a bathroom done but there's a delay on the stuff so it won;t be till next week at the earliest now.

And I have four sleeps till my scan!! :D

Congrats to all the BFPs - LOADS of them!

Yay for Sb's birth story - two hours doesn;t sound too scary lol.

And as for nosebleeds - I've it had those but my nose bleeds when I blow it which it didn;t used to before. I think it's all perfectly normal.

    Hi all,
I have my 15 week appointment with the MW on Tuesday - do I need to take a sample with me? I'm sure they tell you to take one to every appointment, but don't want to go with one sloshing around in my handbag if I don't need it!

Pinkpig - round here, you are supposed to take a sample with you to every midwife appointment.

I've found that even if they don't routinely need one, they are happy to take one if you've got one with you.

    Hello there

I havent managed to catch up fully but congratulations to SB! I am now 20weeks 2 days and get to see baby tomorrow!

Getting scared now.....Everyone has started to tell me that I will be expecting a large baby as I am 5ft8 and big (a size 16 is me at my smallest lol) and OH is 6ft 4. Comments such as "ooh an 11-12lb baby would be about right for you two" Eeeeeek:eek:

Any who I spoke to my mum who reassured me, she was told by her Dr that I was going to be 10.5lb+ and I was 8lb 13oz. Love you mum.

Oh and hypnobirthing, my friend referred me to http://www.free-hypnosisdownloads.com/downloads/free-downloads-standard-members/natural-child-birth.html on the same site she used their quit smoking download, I am not sure how effective the track is but I listened to all 41 minutes and practially drifted off to sleep at some point but woke up at the end. The first 40seonds is an advert but the rest sounds good, but I dont really have any point of reference to be honest. But if it saves me £50-£100 I am happy. :D

Mega post over! Happy New year people!:D
    DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz

Yeah you have to take one every time... Although I took one for an appointment and it wasn't tested but can't remember which one... Might of just been bloods or something? It ended up floating round my handbag for a good 3 days afterwards :p
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
