I wonder if I thought I had given her £1.50, but only gave her 50p? (there was a lot of silver change involved) but I thought she would have noticed.

I decided to put it on the Everything Else budget as I really want to see if I can make my grocery budget S-T-R-E-T-C-H out to last til I get paid.
Also two bits of good news. Firstly, I won the baking competition at work!!! My cake was voted nicest out of all seven entries so I am thrilled to bits! I won a Thorntons selection box! I hadn't known there would be a prize LOL. So, that will spur me on to do some more baking. I always knew there was a Nigella in me, desperate to be let out. (I usually shut her up with shop bought biscuits)
Secondly, bought a second hand pair of Ugg boots from a colleague for (wait for it) FIFTY QUID!!!!! They are genuine and she has bought them for herself and they have been a bit tighter for her than she was happy with so although she has worn them a few times, she's decided she's more than happy with her old favourites so decided to sell them. I got there first. She was almost guilty asking me for £50 but I've got a bargain if they keep my feet warm in the winter at football. Hello there Bloojeans! It's always nice to have another visitor. Flyin Fresian does one too (but not as religiously as me). I can say it's really helped me because I know exactly how much is for me, and how much is spoken for (even though it is still actually in the bank) and does make me think twice about how much I am spending. I just feel bad sometimes about using up this board for such a dull, boring thread but then I think that people don't have to read it if they don't like it, and the number of views goes up and up and up every day so someone out there must like it. I love knowing what other people have spent their money onStart Date: 27/11/2010
